CHAPTER 10: SHACKLES

The house of the Royals, The mighty and captivative home of Kings and Queens. The Palace of Liverpool. It is known as a historic location for the great ancestry of the Royals. The Palace stood 24 meters high with 3 floors, 10 bedrooms, 2 dining rooms and a hedge maze.

Inside the palace are priceless royal artifacts dating to the 5th Century.

The Palace serves as a getaway for the royal family. Currently is being used to house the royals supervising the progress on the White star line's new project.

Inside the Palace Queen Winsley

surreptitiously goes to the basement. She made sure that no one follows her in her new scheme…

Down the Basement was a trap door which leads deeper into the dungeon.

The queen wears a cloak which covers her face. The cloak had mysterious writing and different symbols.

Reaching the bottom of the Dungeon lies a door. Using a gray key, she opens the door and enters the room. The room had a desk, a bookshelf and some rugged artifacts. The Queen grabs a locket under her cloak and uses the locket hidden under her cloak to open another door behind the bookshelf. As she opens the locket an amulet starts to glow when Queen Winsley puts it inside the keyhole.

As the bookshelf turns, A tunnel is disclosed. The Queen enters the tunnel that has many mysterious symbols and writings no human could understand. The writings were just like the writings on the cloak of the queen. The tunnel dimmed with darkness, full of mud and sewage water.

At the end of the tunnel lay a man, whose arms are shackled onto the wall, His neck shackled to the ground and feet shackled to the ceiling. The man was severely injured and had scars all over his body.

The man continuously bleeds as the queen approaches him. The man's name is Lance Ombre. The brother of the Queen.

Queen Winsley with looks in her eyes gave a glare. The eyes of Queen Winsley begin to glow as she uses the amulet in her cloak to release energy unworldly like.

Lance's body, tired from the agony and restrained from the shackles screams all his pain, to no avail or empathy to the queen.

The amulet the Queen possessed was an oracle capable of harnessing different abilities and being able to harness unimaginable powers.

Lance continuously cried and lashed out tears as the continuous suffering came. His heart bleeds from the ramifications of her sister. Lance pleads for forgiveness as her sister looks on with anger in her eyes.

Lance started to voice out "Why are you doing this Victoria? Do you find pleasure in hurting your brothers? For god sake! Wake up! You've gone far now and lost your way… Father wouldn't want this for you…"

Queen Winsley laughed "You have no right to call me Victoria, let alone your sister…"

Queen Winsley said commandingly "Hand over your oracle! Before I take it myself… It's been years now, so just hand it over."

Lance's response "I can't... Cause if I do you'll dispose of me... I still know your heart is still in Victoria... Don't let the anger consume you, Dad would not want to see you like this... He knows you and he misses the old you"

The argument continued on as the rage of Queen Winsley came.

The Queen replied screaming.

"Don't call me Victoria! She's now dead... I'll cut to the chase, I just want for my son not to marry that girl, tell me the knowledge I need to know and I'll leave..."

Lance, realizing it's his time to leave, his body has no more energy, falls to the floor, revealing the oracle of knowledge…

Oracles are amulets that result from the crash of a star from the constellation of Andromeda

The Almach star came down and broke to pieces resulting in the first oracle. It is a gem that was found by a strange astrologer in the middle of the sea.

Legend says that the Almach star had an intense battle against its adversary, Algol. A star of the constellation Perseus.

Unfortunately, Almach lost and was split into pieces. Some of its remains landed down on Earth. Which landed in the oceans, then found by a mysterious astrologer. Which gave the astrologer inhumane powers

The astrologer harnessed the oracle's ability and mastered it fully. He vowed to keep it a secret and lived in the mountains. As time went on the mysterious astrologer hid it from the public until the oracle corroded and broke into 5 pieces.

The five new oracles are as stated: Knowledge, Creation, Time, Flame and Darkness. Ever since the Oracle corroded, the mysterious astrologer was never found.

Queen Winsley approaching the oracle of knowledge said "How do I become the ruler… and not this pesky boy…"

The Oracle now active, enraged with power and all enters the mind of Lance.

Lance saying "Sink the ship... It will kill everything as planned... Unfortunately, it is not certain, it doesn't look good for him either way. If you really want to separate the two, one must die... For only death can separate both. Be careful Victoria, I don't want you to go... Can't you just be satisfied with your power?"

Queen Winsley replied "One day you will know... Unfortunately, not in this lifetime..."

After a while of talking, Queen Winsley grasps her oracle of creation to summon an earth-like spike.

Lunging it into her brother's body, ending his misery and suffering from the earth.

Now attaining The Oracle of Divine knowledge and Oracle of Mass creation the power in her veins continued to grow exponentially.

Leaving the dungeon, Queen Winsley takes one last glimpse at her now dead brother Lance…

Her emotions got the best of her. She breaks down into tears and shutting the door behind her.

"My last flesh and blood, my last family gone... I must move forward and avenge the one who had been faded by the shadows... Now I must be the shadow."

A few minutes later, Queen Winsley picked herself up and got ready to start the scheme…
