Cheating Death

I was on my way to the house to get ready to go and meet my girlfriend, an aspiring writer, today was her birthday and our three year anniversary of being together, and we were to meet Infront of the Du Cross a famous restaurant in the town.

I had just arrived when I saw her getting down from the car of a man I did not know, he gave her flowers and kisses her on the forehead before driving away. I couldn't believe what I just saw so I decided to go back home and forget about her.

On my way back home, I tried sending her a text to end it all but it started raining and my phone short circuited. I raced back home in the downpour only to find my things out of the house with an eviction notice on the door.

Try as I did to remove the electronics from the rain and under a tent, I failed."How could I have lost not only my girlfriend and phone, but my home and electrical appliances" I said. In my devastation I decided to end my suffering by jumping from the apartment balcony.

I was shocked to have woken up in a dark room with a girl kneeling over me with a pistol aimed at my groin. Shit a pistol is being aimed at my groin, I said." Why did u decide to find me before I got to you"Lilith commonly known as death asked me.

"Did u expect me to continue suffering like that" I shot back. "Dont you know the pain you have caused others by killing yourself" She shot again."Who could possibly care about me commiting suicide" before I could finish uttering these words she grabbed my hand.

We were transported to my mother's home where I saw her mourning me, together with my girlfriend[she didn't get the text so we are still dating] my mom then passed a pen to her with her name engraved on it.

I realized that was the pen I wanted to give her as a gift when I caught her with that man. The same man walked in and held her, I started boiling with anger when I saw the two of them, then two children appeared by his side, I then found out that ,that was her brother.

I tried to reach for her to offer my apologies but I was transported back to the dark room not that I would have even been able to touch her she since I was currently in spirit form.

Death[Lilith] told me that for seeking death out before death found me she was cursing me to continuously get reincarnated in different worlds till her anger subsided. I tried to plead but I realized it wasn't so bad and was transported to my first life.
