First Round Ends

Sky Academy tournaments were gruesome to the point they weren't broadcasted. Even regular soldiers had a hard time dealing with it.

In other parts of the world. Other Sky military midpoints were having this same competition.

If someone was willing to enter the Sky Military, they had to be willing to risk their lives and demonstrate power.

Boom!

A loud explosion rang out as another person died.

Joey's eyes neck never turned, but his eyes shifted erratically at all the big fight. It was the same with everyone involved.

The louder explosions would take over most people's attention.

After half an hour, the commotion came from Mia. It was the first time she moved. Every punch she threw seemed like it distorted the around them.

It was almost nauseous to watch space move, but it was spectacular the power she released. Anyone who she punched quickly died.

Waves of people tried to charge her, hoping for glory. Only to come out missing a hole in their body.

The cavity newly punch into their bodies never came with pain. Only severe lightheadedness as they blacked out and died.

Joey never felt scared but instead, he was rather interested. He could not help but stare at the fight.

If he thought about it, feeling excited about a bloody fight, seemed idiotic. However, he could not explain it.

The number of fighters dwindled to a little under 200. Many people were injured and gulping as much air as they could, it made others wary of engaging in fights.

'Why is the fight continuing even after this mich injuries'

Many were reduced to moving like zombies, while others camped at the edge of the stage to recuperate.

Eisha who had been silent up to now finally spoke.

"This is the worst part, they never stop the match no matter what... It always continues till the end"

Claymus who lacked attention for a while got annoyed.

'You fools have no idea what true strength is!'

His eyes moved to the next unfortunate soul within his radius of destruction. His eyes looked to a boy who wielded his saber that sent shockwaves through the stage.

His movements were continuous and precise. He never back for someone is saber failed to kill. He looked comfortable on the battlefield.

This person was Micheal.

Hmph!

Claymus scoffed at his fighting style, mistaking it for showboating.

He swung his hand to the air and called down a stroke of lightning. It came down with precision over the destruction to strike Micheal who was on the move.

However, Micheal secretly had an eye on him.

He took a body and preemptively threw it above him. The bolt of lightning washed down on both of them, still, he avoided a direct hit.

He stuck his saber in the ground to save his life, while jolted from electricity.

Eye's of many turned and jaws dropped as they looked toward the anomaly.

Micheal struggled to stand however Claymus let him stand up.

"Your Claymus huh? I thought I could complete this round without fighting you. Looks like you had other plans" Micheal supported himself with his saber.

"You seem to have a head-on your shoulders."

Claymus scoffed as he inspected Micheal. He wasn't sure of his superpower's nature.

'Gosh, he couldn't have said because I was decent? Either way, If I can muster up a fight with this guy. I should be in the Sky Military, without having to fight'

Micheal grabbed his saber from the ground and rushed toward Claymus.

His crazy dash had everyone on their seats. Others who were judging the competition were intrigued.

So was Claymus Zeus, so he allowed Micheal to advance.

Micheal's sabre moved fast as it cut every silhouette of Claymus after he dodged it. Claymus had a strong body for his age, He was at Rank 1 and was able to easily fight Micheal without trying.

While they were fighting others on the stage began to cheer. Joey looked at the Military personnel who were watching as well and they also invested.

'This person will get vetted'

Joey was surprised but Micheal too. Before when Micheal challenged him, Joey saw him as no equal. Now he saw that he might have lost the fight.

'He is an Afterlife fanatic, what would you expect'

The audience became rambunctious. People cheered Micheal as the underdog which made Claymus annoyed. He was simply interested, however, people thought Micheal was on his level.

'These Idiots don't know a thing!'

"You're strong, but this isn't enough!"

While slapping away his sabre, Claymus started to raised his hand to the sky.

However, his action was interrupted when Micheal slashed into his hand.

Clang!

The pierced his skin and connected on his muscles, His saber released shockwaves that invaded Claymus' body causing the saber to go down further and simulate even more pain.

"What! the hell?"

Claymus shook his hand in anger, hammering Micheal across the stage in reflex.

His hand healed perfectly to a white mark, however, it left a red stain with blood, which greatly infuriated him.

'Some low-grade peasant managed to do this to me? Scum, what will father think? This is unacceptable!'

He lifted his hand in the air intending to kill, all this time Micheal was still unable to see what was going to happen.

"Ladies and gentlemen! This round is over! All remaining 10 contestants will advance to the knockout rounds. Rejoice! It means that you have a good shot to make it into the Sky Military, now this is for the glory and benefits to aid your cultivation."

Genna came on and spoke in her usual playful tone. However, Claymus never cared, he swung his hand in the air to call down another bolt of lightning.

"Don't you dare!"

Gemma never called a name, however, she was talking to Claymus. Her voice sounded serious.

They both looked at each other with Claymus still defiant.

"That's an Order"

Claymus scoffed and he stormed off the stage in anger. He could have killed him without any repercussions, however, it would have caused him too much trouble.

Gemma sighed gladly that he listened. Soon after she spoke again into the mic.

"The second set of competitors ready yourselves. The next round will start in 20 minutes."
