Yakushi High Vs. Seido High

Yakushi's Team all came off the bus and stood Infront of the stadium.

"We finally made it to the finals", said Yuu.

"Yeah…", said Sanada looking towards the stadium with hopeful eyes. 'We will not be losing today'.

"Let's go inside why are you just standing there", said Rei looking behind.

'I know I lack the skills to be able to carry the team and give them their deserved win. This is why I handed over my position willingly, Rei. Or else I wouldn't have given my position this easily and would have fought for it', thought Sanada as he walked to the stadium with the team.

Today was the big finals for the Fall Metropolitan Tournament and It was heavily promoted since the dark horse and a famous private school were having a match against each other.

Yakushi High Vs. Seido High.]

In the Stadium's Field.

Yakushi and Seido both teams were present in their dugouts. Each team player had their worries and was preparing themselves since this was the most important match. Every player held the dream of going to Koshien once in their high school baseball career.

After a Few Minutes, in a hallway. Miyuki, Sanada, and A Staff member of the stadium stood beside each other.

"Seido is Head's and Yakushi is Tails. We will now flip the coin", said the staff member as he flipped the coin.

The Staff member looked at the flipped coin in his palms. "Seido will be batting first and Yakushi will be pitching first. After saying this he left the hallway and only Sanada and Miyuki stood there.

The atmosphere was tense as they stared at each other.

"I hope your team is ready to fight against our team. We have a surprise prepared for you.", Miyuki was the first one to speak up.

"I don't care about your surprise. I just know that Yakushi will win", said Sanada smiling as he walked back to the field.

"We will see", said Miyuki fixing his glasses.

Back on the Stadium's Field.

"The time has come for the Fall Tournament's big finals. Yakushi High Vs. Seido High. I know for a fact high school baseball fans will be lining up to watch this match. The Darkhorse Vs. The Private Elite school. Another reason this might be the best finals is because that REI FUJIKAWA is going to be playing against his old team. I bet people can't wait to see the match", said the announcer.

"Both team's Lineup", yelled the umpire.

Seido and Yakushi team players jogged to the field from their dugouts and lined up.

"Now, Bow!", said the umpire.

Both teams bowed to each other and got to their positions on the field. After a Few Minutes, the siren rang signaling the start of the game.

Rei was the starter pitcher, he stood on the mound. Kazuma went to his catching position.

Rei could feel all the stares from Seido's Dugout. He decided to ignore it and solely focus on the match since he wanted to win. 'Should I use my new fastball skill in the beginning to scare them? Never mind…let's not maybe in the middle innings. That reminds me of my Fall tournament mission it should have been completed but I didn't accept the reward yet. Damn, I should do that once I go back to my dorm but for now, let's focus'.

1st Inning Started.

Kuramochi walked towards the batter's box. As he walked, he looked towards Kataoka in the dugout and nodded.

Kataoka and Ochihai coach had come up with a strategy against Rei. They thought they should start the match with a run since it would increase their chances of winning if they scored first. Because of this Ochihai coach gave Kuramochi a suggestion.

Kuramochi arrived at the batter's box and stood on the left side taking his position.

Rei pitched a 2 seam to the inside.

"Strike!", yelled the umpire.

'Was that even in the strike zone? Guess I have to listen to Ochihai coach's suggestion after all', thought Kuramochi surprised. before the next pitch was thrown, Kuramochi switched to the right side of the batter's box.

'Oh, so that's how it's going to be', thought Rei. For the 2nd pitch, he threw a 4-seam inside pitch.

'It's too high', thought Kuramochi seeing the incoming pitch.

The ball went straight to the catcher's mitt passing right near Kuramochi's neck.

Kuramochi leaned back and looked toward the umpire. 'Is that even allowed?'.

"Strike!", said the umpire.

Rei smirked.

'Do you have to provoke him? Calm down, it's just the start of the game', thought Kazuma as he glared at Rei.

Rei shrugged towards Kazuma.

"Che", said Kuramochi as he moved to the left side of the batter's box.

Rei threw a 2 seam to the outside and Kuramochi couldn't even hit it.

In Seido's Dugout.

Miyuki looked at Kuramochi as soon as he entered the dugout.

"I thought I could hit off that brat", said Kuramochi.

"It's different when he's pitching. Isn't it?", said Miyuki smiling.

Kuramochi nodded. 'I don't want to admit it, but he can scare off any batter with his fastball. Since the fastball's speed is at least 150 Km, it's a deadly weapon'. He sighed.

Ochihai coach analyzed Rei's pitching so far and looked toward Furuya who was sitting on the bench. 'I hope Furuya doesn't let down my expectations'.

Nobody could see Kataoka's expression because of his shades. Miyuki wondered what he was thinking.

Furuya who was on the bench watching Rei pitch. 'I wondered why he left Seido but now I see why. I hate to admit it, but his pitching is…'. He clenched his fists in frustration.

Miyuki looked at Furuya worryingly seeing him stare at a certain someone on the field.

Back on the Stadium's Field.

Toujou came to bat. 'Hoo…Rei is awesome for sure, but I will try my best'.

"Strike!".

Before he even knew he was struck out and, on his way, back to the dugout.
