At first she failed to make out the inaudible sounds, until tensing to pick up loud exhausted breathing.
Keen senses switched, she surmised the figure to be one measly girl, weary in hiding and probably scared. Her mind seconded firing questions, detective mode on and eager to get a clearer audio.
Rintarõ.... _Hello!?, Who is this? If it's a prank i'm not in the mood!_
Way to turn investigative ease into fury, the once calm miss shouted drivel words packed with curiosity. Unfortunately no one responded, readying to tap the end call button. Inches away from her screen, a faint voice muttered through.
????.... _Is this Rintaro Haruno?_
Faint and fading indeed, but most notably, stammering in fear. It sounded familiar, though, the odds were obviously impossible, or maybe it was just a revelation hidden from sight.
Rintarõ.... _Uhm..., depends on who's asking?_
????.... _It's Kagami from the summer break at our villa. I don't have much time so could you do me a small favo?r_
Rintarõ.... _(Oh it's the little rude mouth, what does SHE want?) When you say favor, you don't mean using me for your errands right? Because if it involves your mean persona, then no!_
She tried to sound cold, despite the shallow breathing and squeal thinning out. Plus with every single word, she heard the princess stop as if gone, only to recognize her attentiveness. A rare thing to behold and capture for future teasers.
Kagami.... _I know we don't get along and believe me, i wouldn't be calling a commoner like you for anything._
Absorbing the insult shuffled mixed emotions, forcing her to prepare tapping the red button. Immediately, a genuine considerate comment drew in.
Kagami.... _But the way i take it, all my siblings believe you to be a shining light of some kind. You draw attention and help those you can. Well, this is pretty hard for me to swallow and say, but right now you're the only person who can help. Kiyo is not answering her phone and the only other girl i know is you._
Haruno gasped in amplified disbelief. Her eyes blinked twice before halting in a trance of stillness.
Rintarõ.... _(Is this the same person as the rude princess from before?, i wonder who gave her the change of heart talk) Should i be worried about this "favor" of yours?_
Kagami.... _Uhh, i wouldn't guarantee my existence in the next thirty minutes so worry is a package deal. I'll be quick so listen up._
_Little miss genius_ knowingly dragged out a diffident 'Yes," braced for the trap she hurled herself on. Helping some self-absorbed imperious princess?, not to mention young yet rude to the core?
No good reward awaited her soft heart, but she stuck to sincere kindness anyway.
'There's no going back," slithering whispers hissed with an elegant tone.
