Chapter 47- His call

Buzz-Buzz…

Declan felt a jolt in his pocket. When he checked his phone, he saw Yasmin's name flashing on the screen. Her name was enough to bring joy to him. A smile involuntarily appeared on his face. His uneasiness vanished. His mood was no longer sour.

"Hello." He was quick to answer the phone.

"You called me."

He felt the same flutter in his chest that he had felt the night before when he heard her voice. He wanted to ask her to come back. For some unknown reason, he could only utter, "Yes."

They both went silent.

Yasmin bit her bottom lip, impatiently waiting for him to say something. She was a little disappointed when she didn't hear from him. "Do you have anything to say?" she finally asked.

'Please, Declan. Say that you miss me. Say that you want me to go home. I promise to go back. Just say it.'

"I… uh… I will wait for you at the party." That was what she heard from him.
