Chapter 376- The nagging fear

Yasmin was frightened when she heard about the attack on Derrek. She called him right away, but his phone was turned off.

"Why is his phone switched off?" she mumbled worriedly. "I need to find out if he is all right."

She phoned Declan.

Declan was somewhat surprised when he saw her number. It was unusual to receive a call from her while he was at work. His lips hooked unconsciously. Joy and excitement filled his heart.

"Hey. Are you missing me?"

"Of course, I miss you, and I am worried too. I heard about Derrek. Where is he now? Why can't I get him on the phone?"

Declan's smile waned instantly. "First of all, calm down. I told you not to be anxious. It's harmful to your health."

"I can't…" She sighed. "The situation is getting dangerous. I won't be able to hear about the attack on you. My heart will stop beating in an instant."
