Chapter 245- The sudden attack
It had been a week. Gerald's condition had improved from earlier. His pacemaker implant went smoothly. After a few days of observation, he would be released.
Declan was busy as usual with his work. He had just finished a luncheon with a client in a restaurant and came out to the parking area.
Grace called him and expressed her desire to meet Gerald.
"I don't know how long I will live. I want to talk to him and tell him about Julia before my condition worsens."
Declan grimaced, displeased. "Mom, stop saying depressing words. Mr. Griffin is doing his best to cure you. I am also looking into it. You will be fine."
Grace laughed. "Yes, yes, I am aware of everyone's efforts. But no one knows my situation better than I do. I lived my life. I wanted to clear up the confusion in your heart, and that wish has come true. All that remains is to inform Gerald about Julia. Take me to him, Declan."
She sounded as if she was commanding him.
