Chapter 67

Keith arrived at the hospital in the middle of the night. His heart broke seeing his wife on his hospital bed.

Alex's face is swollen and already turning blue. The side of his lips is covered with a plaster which means it was cut or bruised as well. There was a cast of his right arm. Martin told him Alex used his shoulder to cushion the impact of his fall so that Bean will not be hurt.

Keith clenched his jaw to prevent himself from screaming and cursing that asshole who did this to his wife. He wanted to beat up that bastard until there's no more life left in his filthy body. How dare him do this to his Alex and their precious little Bean.

Keith took another glance at his sleeping wife before he decided to come out of the door. His emotions are at its peak and his pheromones will not help Alex in his current state. He needs to calm himself down.

"Explain to me what happened." Keith asked Colin with a grim expression. He knew Colin saved Alex before anything dreadful happened to him and Bean but he still could not help but be mad at Colin's negligence.

"Alex and I were waiting for Dan to finish his work so I could send them both home. Then Alex received a message from Dan telling him that his heat arrived and he needed suppressants in order to be able to safely go out. I accompanied Alex to the tenth floor but I could not come closer to where Dan is located as I would put the Omega in danger." Colin explained.

"Is Dan involved in all of this?" Keith asked. If the Omega is involved he will not tolerate it even if he is Alex's best friend.

"Sir if I may interrupt." Sid raised his hands so Keith would notice him. His body is too small and slender to be noticed with all these tall Alphas around him.

Keith nodded, giving Sid the signal to talk.

"Colin send me Mr. Dan's phone and just as Colin suspected, it was compromised. They installed an application that would enable them to clone the user's phone. Basically they can read all the messages and call logs and even send messages as if it was coming from the original phone." Sid explained in one breath that he was gasping after he finished. The amount of drastic pheromones coming from their boss is not helping. Had he been a normal Omega he might have collapsed already.

"Dwight locked up Dan in the Archive Room and if not for someone forgetting their keys and helping Dan escape, I wouldn't know that Alex is in danger. I know there is no excuse for what happened. It's all my fault Sir. I'm willing to resign and accept whatever punishment you would give me." Colin lowered his head as a sign of his repentance.

"There will be no next time. You still have my gratitude for saving both of them on time." Keith replied. He owed Colin for saving Bean and Alex but he still could not get it out of his head, what if Dan weren't let out of the room? Will Dwight have his way with Alex and Bean might have died in the process? He couldn't bear to imagine it.

"Thank you Sir." Colin replied, grateful for another chance. He was ready to resign from his job if that is what Keith wants.

"Sid, will you be able to get all the names of the stockholder for Murphy's company?" Keith asked the Omega. "I don't care if you hack the Securities and Exchange Commission to get those data." Keith ordered.

"Okay Sir, that would be easy to do." Sid almost shuddered from Keith's pheromones but he still replied enthusiastically.

"Martin, call the judge in charge of the case and make sure they don't allow him to get out of jail." Keith then turned to give his friend the instruction.

Colin and the rest of the men guard Alex's room as Keith heads inside to be with his wife.

"Are you kidding me? What kind of nonsense are you spouting?" Dustin Murphy screamed at his lawyer.

"Sir that's what they told me when I tried to post bail for your son." The lawyer replied, explaining the situation.

Dustin Murphy was informed last night that his youngest son was in jail and was booked for assault and attempted rape. He sent his lawyer to get Dwight out of jail but he wasn't allowed last night to post bail as they said no judge would approve it. Now this idiot lawyer is telling him that he still cannot get his youngest son out because bail is not allowed.

Dustin Murphy massaged his temple, his youngest son has been giving him headaches since he was a teenager. He could not remember how many times he had to send his lawyer to settle things whenever Dwight made trouble. He thought he was doing okay now since he started working in Andersen's. He was even planning to have him on board his company sooner than he initially planned.

Now this, that idiot was caught assaulting an intern. A lowly intern and yet this useless lawyer could not even get him out of jail.

"Find out where that intern is and offer him money to keep his mouth shut. Make sure to get Dwight out of prison by the end of the day before the news leaks out. I won't have this affect the company's reputation." Dustin said before dismissing the lawyer.

"Hey Dad why is the lawyer here?" Denver Murphy asked his father.

"I asked him to settle some things with your brother." Dustin replied, still annoyed. "Why are you here so early in the morning?" Dustin asked, he disliked his sons coming into his office without being told to do so. He wanted them to focus on their work.

"Dex told my secretary to tell me to come here, I thought you asked us over." Denver replied, confused.

Dustin frowned at what Denver just told him. He doesn't see any reason for his two sons to see him, let alone Dexter telling his brother to do so. Unless the press got wind of Dwight's situation and their stocks are falling down.

The father and son waited for around ten minutes before the eldest son, Dexter walked in.

"Dad, did you know about it?" Dexter asked his father as soon as he arrived.

"About what? Can you just say it? You're pissing me off and I am not in the mood." Dustin screamed at his son.

Dexter flinched at his father's loud voice. "I was informed by someone from the Stock Exchange that Mr. Santos sold all his shares of our company." Dexter bravely informed his father. Actually he was seeing someone involved in the stocks who told him about it.

"Is that all you have to say?" Dustin asked his son, unperturbed by Dexter's news. "That idiot must have lost in the casino and used up his shares as payment. Why are you being concerned by that small amount of shares?" Dustin lectured his son.

Dexter trembled from fear. The three of them were all Alphas but they were all afraid of their father. Even Denver who was just asked to come also trembled in fear.

"Ahmm Dad.." Dexter fidgets, unsure how to tell his father the rest of the news.

"What? Can you both go back to work if you have nothing else to say. You're wasting my time. Your younger brother is giving me a headache already, don't add it to it." Dustin warned.

"Well, Dad you see. Ahmm it's not just Mr. Santos, there were four more person who sold their shares." Dexter told his father. "And there may be more shareholders selling their shares." Dexter wanted to add but only kept it to himself.

"How many shares are we talking about?" Dustin asked, finally realizing the severity of the situation.

"Ah.. about 40% of the total shares." Dexter replied. Denver gasped at his brother's news.

That amount of shares is already closed to what their family owned in total. Who the hell is buying all their shares?

Dustin Murphy was left bewildered by his son's news that he could not work the entire day. He could barely understand why his lawyer was calling him.

"Mr. Murphy, I could not find the intern and they are still not allowing your son to be out on bail. I already talked to the judge and I found out that someone asked the judge not to allow bail." The lawyer said on the other line.

Dustin Murphy doesn't know how to make sense of everything that's happening today. Who is buying their shares and someone is dead set in keeping Dwight locked up in jail. Who did Dwight offended for all of this to happen?
