Chapter 43

Dan has been worried sick since Alex didn't come home last night. He was calling his friend all night long but he get no answer. Alex left in the morning to accompany his mother for her medical check up, they even exchange text messages while his friend was waiting for his mother. Alex told him that he would be going shopping with his mom and would be coming home late. Dan ate lunch alone and decided to clean the house as he don't want to go out, he's still afraid to run into his ex boyfriend so he chose to just stay home.

He spent his afternoon reading and catching up on the tv series he missed. It's quite relaxing and at the same time boring but he'd rather be bored than get kidnap by a drug addict ex boyfriend. He couldn't help but grimaced at what would happened to him had Martin did not rescued him. He shuddered thinking of the worst case scenario.

He took a nap and woke up around dinner time. He checked for any messages from Alex, thinking thag his friend was having fun with his mom and is probably having dinner together with her, Dan decided to eat dinner alone. It was almost nine in the evening and still no trace of Alex. He checked his phone multiple times but there were no messages at all. Alex would have told him if he would spend the night at his parents.

Two hours have passed and still no calls or messages from Alex. Dan determined that being out this late is already unsual for Alex. He called his friend numerous times until he ran out of battery. He considered calling Alex's parents but decided against it as there is also a possibility of his friend being with his Alpha right now. He don't want to accidentally spill his friend's secret to his family as that is something Alex should be doing himself.

Dan paced back and forth at the living room, it's already past midnight and still no response from Alex. He must have left around fifty text messages and probably around sixty missed calls already. He really hope that Alex is with the president and not involve in an accident or lying in some hospital right now. Hopefully Alex wasn't kidnap or something. His own experience with Eric and those kidnapping incidents made him think of this.

He must have dozed off as it was already morning when he next opened his eyes. The last thing he remembered was waking up around five in the morning to check if Alex has responded to him but unfortunately still nothing. He was about to check his phone when he was startled by the sound of the doorbell.

Dan's heart pounded loudly. He's afraid to open the door. What if it's the police or something and they came to inform him that something terrible happened to Alex? How could he explained it to Alex's parents. Matt might kill him if something really did happen to his precious little brother.

"Common Dan, it's just a doorbell. It might just be the neighbor asking to borrow soy sauce or something or maybe just someone to remind them to throw away their trash. He has someone like that in his own apartment not that he has encountered someone like Mrs. Johnson in this building. He kinda wish Alex's door has a peep hole so he could prepare himself if he knew who was pressing the doorbell.

"Here goes nothing." Dan said to himself before opening the door. "I'm sorry we don't have trash to....day?" Dan could not almost finished his sentence from embarassment upon seeing who was pressing the doorbell. Too many questions running through his mind that he could not speak and just stare at the man in front of him who was holding a paper bag on his hand.

"Good morning." Martin greeted.

"Oh yes it's morning of course I should say good morning and you're not here to ask about the trash hehe." Dan laughed awkwardly as he remembered the nonsense he was saying when he opened the door.

"You seem to be not fully awake." Martin amusely stated. He was frowning earlier, he thought he got the wrong unit as Dan welcomed him with talks about trash or something.

"Gosh! I'm sorry, I had a rough night and I just woke up. Sorry please come in." Dan apologized as he realized they are still standing at the door. "Did you come here for Alex? Let me call him. Oh shit! Mr. Martin Alex didn't come home last night can you help me find him? I mean it's not that I'm asking a favor but the president would be worried for him right?." Dan said without taking a breath. He didn't even realized that he was blocking Martin from entering the house.

"Hey calm down. Your friend is safe and okay." Martin lead the Omega with his free hand and instructed Dan to sit down on the sofa. "Alex has been calling you but maybe you were sleeping so you didn't hear it, hence they send me over her. I figured you haven't eaten so I brought breakfast.

Dan got conscious at how close the Alpha's face is to his. He just woke up and haven't even garggled his probably having a morning breath while Martin looked so fresh and smells so good. He got the sudden urge to run to the bathroom and take a shower.

"Here drink this." Martin hand over the steaming hot coffee to the sleepy Omega. "You should eat this sandwich too. I'm not sure what you like to eat for breakfast but this is what I can think of that should be easy and fast to eat. We'll go once you finished your breakfast and your bath." Martin said matter of factly as he laid down the rest of the stuff on the papaer bag he is carrying on the coffee table.

"Where are we going?" Dan asked curiously and a bit worried. Maybe something really did happen to Alex.

"We need to bring the birth certificate of those two to the judge." Martin replied as he took a bite of his own sandwich.

"What birth certificate? What judge? Why are we bringing it to a judge?" Dan is getting more confuse and this Alpha is not giving him enough details. Did Alex do something against the law?

"Alex was calling you...

Dan did not let the Alpha finished his sentence and immediately look for his phone. There was indeed a fee missed calls from Alex, he was too exhausted from the lack of sleep that he could not hear his phone ringing. There was one text from his friend that says he should give his birth certificate to Martin and come to Keith's house. It still doesn't make sense to him at all.

"Aherrm!" Martin cleared his throat. "As I was saying, I came here because Alex asked me to get his birth certificate to the judge and then to buy some clothes for him because he said you'll know his size and his taste in clothing." Martin explained.

"Wait!" Dan said raising his palm in front of the Alpha. "You're not making any sense at all. I keep hearing birth certificate and judge. Please explain clearly in a way that I would understand." Dan exclaimed.

"Ohh. Okay. Those two are getting married today so we need to bring the birth certificate to the judge to process their marriage license and we are actually press for time so I suggest we eat faster or you can shower first and we eat the rest of the food on the way. Unless you prefer to go now. I'm okay with anything. Also after we deliver the documents, we need to go to the mall to buy Alex some clothes he could wear for the ceremony. Lastly, of course you need to attend it as well as a witness, Keith gave us the permission to buy clothes for you as well." Martin answered nonchalantly.

"You should have told me that from the start!" Dan couldn't helped but raised his voice. "Alex is getting married! He's getting married today. Matt is really gonna kill me."
