Dinner
Tae-Joon could swear he had never been at a family dinner table as noisy as this all his life. Although everyone was dressed formally, but it was the most informal dinner gathering he had ever been privileged to observe.
He ate quietly as he listened to Brad and his family talk and make jokes as they all ate, while Melvin chipped in something into the conversation every now and then.
"So, Tae-Joon, how long will you be around?" Grandma Rosie asked, directing everyone's attention to him.
"Just until Melvin settles in fully," Tae-Joon said politely. He kept trying not to stare too much at Ann, who seemed like she was ignoring him while giving all her attention to everyone else at the table.
She looked like she had lost a bit of weight, but she was as pretty as ever. Her face shone lightly from the glow of the light on her skin. His eyes were drawn to her lips every time she smiled as they glistened with whatever lipgloss she had applied to them.
