Melanie sat bolt upright immediately after she woke up from her nightmare. She was shivering, and there were beads of sweat on her forehead as she looked around the bedroom, trying to remember where she was. She suddenly remembered that she was in the visitor's room in Todd's house.
After talking to him about the journalist's accident, they had all tried to find a private investigator that night who would help them trace Phil's wife and daughter. She had gone inside to shower and had tried reaching Melvin after having her bath. He had said he was on his way to Todd's house, but she had dozed off after their conversation.
She stood up from the bed and placed a hand on her chest to calm her heart which was still beating heavily as she remembered the nightmare. Alvin had been pointing a gun at her late husband in her nightmare, and she had been crying and begging him not to shoot. But then he had pulled the trigger and shot Kelvin dead instead of Melvin.
