Chapter 3:

'what in the name of lord was that?' she asked astonished.

She could feel peanut chanting No idea!

'Let's go check it out!' she ran through the direction of the big floating letters but too late, the guard caught her this time!

'hey you! You are the thief that stole the old man's hat! did you send the monkey to steal it for you?' he asked sternly.

He looked shorter than the other men but more muscular. His grip tightened around her hand and there was no escape this time.

Once he took the cloak he was dumbfounded to find that it was the princess all along. People now had two things to be shocked and talk about.

'what? Your highness what are you doing here?'

'well...heheh...fresh air?' she shrugged.

The head guard came and looked at her. They actually know each other due to a bunch of freak accidents by yours truly.

He sighed deeply and turned to the guard that caught her.

'The princess has a habit of running away from her palace too often. The people are getting quite used to it.' he complaind.

It is true. Most of them knew her because of her antics around the town.

'let me go! I'm the princess!' she struggled to get away but the guard's grip was too strong.

Peanut kicked the guard, but it was nothing but a small inconvinience for him. 'Take her back to the palace safely, and make sure you report it to the queen once she gets to the palace.' he ordered to the other commandant.

He saluted with one hand and left with the princess and two other guards. They cuffer her one hand to their other , and even peanut was tied up.

'well well...looks like we caught the troublesome duo in our forst day itself. Do you think that the queen will be furious at her?' he asked quite happily.

Be happy? I'll exile you or execute you, just you wait. She snorted to herself.

Once they reached the palace, the queen was sitting in a magnificent throne. Her clothes were royally designed like the royalty she was.

She wore a golden khaftan and a big golden crown crowned in diamonds, rubies and emeralds. 'what is it this time?' she sighed when she saw her saighter and the two guards.

Guard one bowed down and explained the situaion.

'your majesty, your daughter was reported to be stealing an old man's hat with the help of her pet monkey.' he explained.

'are you? kidding me?' she slapped her face.

While the princess was a very outgoing and extroverted p[erson, the queen was very stern, strict and serious.

'I can explain, your highness!' she interrupted the guards. She glared at her daughter.

Shge could already read what her mother wants her to say. You already did enough. Even though she likes to roam around and have fun she finds it very difficult to live by her mother's expectatrions.

It is after all the only thing she wished for after her father passed away.

'princess! come with me to the chamber at once!' she called her.

'Sigh, here we go again' she mumbled.

'you are becoming more and more irresponsible everyday! Stealing an old man's hat? are you crazy? you ruined our reputatuion!' she scolded.

'it wasn't my fault mother! Peanut was the one who wanted it. I told him to go return it afterwards!' she argued.

'It doesn't matter. I don't want you lulling around with this ANIMAL!' she yelled at Peanut.

'oooh!!' he screamed and hid behind the princess. 'mother! don't blame him! he just happens to like hats!' she argued.

'enough Kara! i have heard enough. you are proving yourself unworthy of the throne.'

These words shot her heart like an arrow.

'I AM WORTHY! you'll see when I prove myself at the annual tournament!' she declared .

'and wh-'

'your majesty!' the guard interrupted them before the queen could finish her sentence.

'there has been strange sightings in the sky. We have located where it came from and we have arrested the prisioner.' he said. 'what? did you interrogate him?' she asked a little bit in panic.

'It's just like the foreseer said. Trouble will find you soon enough.'

'this conversation is not over young lady. And until you learn your lesson, you will stay in your chanbers and not leave the palace. Understand?' she shot a glance at her daughter who was looking to the ground.

'fine...' she groaned.

'alright, is the prisoner in our dungeoin?' she askled. 'apparently he's unconsious andworn out.' he replied.

'We will start to question him once he is cured.' declared the queen. 'as you wish your highness.' -

Later Kara was laying on with peanut when she heard some murmuring.

She stood up from her bed and hid behind the wall. There were two maids gossiping with each other.

'I guess evesdropping in conversations is the least boring thing I can do.' she muttered.

'have you heards? the stranger is nothing but a teenager boy. How did he make all the strange letters in the sky?' asked one of them.

'I don't know, I'm jsut as stunned as you are. Have you seen him?' 'no not yet! but I heard he was strange-looking with strang looking robes.'

'Really?' she couldn't believe her ears.

Did they actually say a teenager?

'anyway. Magcenta changed him and she said he had porcelain skin and bright maroon hair. His nose was also quite flat.' one of them snickered.

Why on Earth would you describe a teenage boy like that? , it sounds so sexual it's disgusting!

'Anyway, I'm going to check up on the rpincess. *last time she escaped though the window using her bedsheets*' she whispered the last part.

'ah I see. Alright then off we go!' they said and parted ways.

Kara quickly jumped on her bed and pretended to be asleep. 'princess, are you asleep?' the maid asked in a sweet tone.

She pretended to just wake up and rubbed her eyes. 'why did you awaken me?' she asked 'sleepily'.

'my apologies, I was just checking up on you to see if you were doing well.' replied the maid.

Yeah right.
