1 Accidental Meeting

6 years ago :

The thing that shocked the village of Talikarang early in the morning, a famous artist came to her hometown to greet her fans.

The villagers never knew that the infamous singer Maya Agustin was actually from their village. After the artist came home, they remembered that Maya Agustin was Agustina, the daughter of Mrs. Maimunah, who had moved to another city a long time back.

Madame Maimunah had moved to another city exactly 10 years ago. Not many remembered who Agustina was, except for her school friends and friends of her age.

Maya Agustin's arrival was actually not just about a supreme artist greeting her fans but also for her introduction as a party candidate. People could also understand their purpose. But they didn't mind it because Maya Agustin was there as a guest star to attend the wedding of the daughter of the chairman of the Sejati Party.

After attending the event and gathering with her fans, Maya Agustin stopped by the house she used to live in. The accompanying journalists took photos of the house with touching poses.

Maya greeted a village girl who was collecting used goods at that place. At first the girl was reluctant to take a photo with her, but because Maya pulled and embraced her, she couldn't help but take the picture with her face down.

The girl looked shy, so the photo fitted perfectly for a positive image of Maya Agustin who was friendly and simple.

In the old hut after Maya Agustin and her entourage left :

Shasha, who came to clean her grandmother's house, threw away all the remains of her mother's belongings and burned them to ashes.

Maya Agustin couldn't even recognize her biological child, Shasha.

****

Shasha Wiped her tears. The incident 6 years ago was enough of a reason for her to hate her mother.

"Looks like we have to move from here again Grandma."

"Moving? To where?" In 10 years they have moved to 10 different rented houses. But wherever they live in this city they could still be found by her mother or father. "Shasha we don't need to move ".

"But ... Grandma?" Dadi grabbed Shasha's hand to sit on the sofa with her. "We don't have to go. We will face them. They are not enemies. They are your parents." Shasha got sad hearing the word 'parents'.

Although her father continued to pay for her life, he never thought of bringing her with him. Their only contact was through the account number. The rest of his details were foreign to her.

But was it really like Shasha thought? There seemed to be a lot that Shasha didn't know.

Meanwhile at Casa Grande, Maya Agustin's luxury apartment,

"What do you think, should I take Shasha in?" Maya Agustin asked.

"Shasha is the heir! If she's with you. At least for the next 10 years you won't have to work hard anymore. You can retire comfortably." Ryan, Maya Agustin's husband stroked his wife's hair gently. Her eyes stared straight into the horizon. She will also be blessed with a good life someday.

Shasha did not realize what kind of life was waiting for her. She didn't know how many people wanted to find her.

And according to Ms. Maimunah, now she was not afraid that they will be found. This was good for Shasha.

At Mr. Rahmat's house,

"Do you know where Shasha lives?" Rahmat asked his wife.

"She's still in the same house!"

"Mother and Father already know. They are now very sorry, they want to meet Shasha. I want to meet Shasha!"

"When?" asked his wife again.

"Immediately!"

"Okay, let's organize the plan", Mrs. Lestari smiled.

Mrs. Maimunah decided she didn't want to move anymore,

"Let them find us. We can face them!" Mrs. Maimunah looked brave. So far they have protected each other while taking care of each other.

Apart from having rented out a house on the outskirts of the city. Shasha was also boarding near where she was working now as a teacher at pre school. The salary as a teacher was not enough to support Shasha and her grandmother. But Shasha had made her mind not to use the money sent by her father. Mrs. Maimunah opened an online shop. Fortunately Shasha's grandmother, was a fine cultural and contemporary grandmother. Shasha's Grandma was adept in using her Laptop and Cellphone for marketing her business, using a pseudonym on social media. Mrs. Maimunah was still very beautiful at an age that was not young anymore. Maya Agustin and Shasha inherited the beautiful genes from their grandmother who was now 55 years old, a difference of 16 years from her mother Maya Agustin, her mother, while Shasha was 17 years old. Her mother felt she was too young to have a child of Shasha's age, because she married young.

Grandma said, Shasha's grandfather was from Dutch. That was why Shasha's mother was so beautiful. Her indo face was clearly visible, her skin was white and her hair was light brown. As for Shasha, although her face was very similar to her mother, she had olive skin, black hair. So even when both of them were juxtaposed, no one could realize that they were mother and daughter.

In addition to teaching at the pre school, Shasha was a freelance author of children's fairy tales on several web applications.

Later, Shasha got along with the suburban children who lived in the slums. Shasha teaches them non-formal education for free.

Shasha was actually confused why so many people were looking for her lately. Today several people have asked chairman of the neighborhood about her home address, occupation, with whom she lives.

At night,_

Shasha saw someone sneaking a peek at her rented house. Shasha set many mouse traps in front of the house. The boy held back the sound of his painful scream when he accidentally stepped on the trap. "Feel it!" whispered Shasha.

Tomorrow she would install a sensor bell, thus if anyone entered her home premises, the bell would ring automatically. Shasha grinned with satisfaction when she saw that person's shadow, limping in the darkness leaving her house.

Maya Agustin stated that she decided to retire from being a Supreme singer 5 years ago when she succeeded in winning over the legislative member seat. From her second marriage she had a 16 year old daughter. Shasha's half sister was Regina, she grew up to be one beautiful girl and was studying well at a high school. As a child of a well-known artist, she was of course known to the audience as a young TV Film (FTV) artist. Regina never knew that she had a step sister and had a grandmother who sold pecel rice. If she knew, she would be embarrassed that her grandmother was a maid. And she would be willing to have a step sister who was a teacher in the slum. Or even she would die from jealousy if she came to know that her half sister was the daughter of the mayor in the city of East Samboja.

Her mother and father have unresolved grudges, on the surface they were hostile because of political rivalries and power struggles.

Shasha didn't care about their competition though. She was busy building a nature school with social and educational activists in her city.

Who would have thought that in the future Shasha would be her rival?

Meanwhile Mr. Isaac Ibrahim was looking for information on Maimunah, his wife, whom he had neglected for a long time.

He already knew that his daughter Maya Agustin was a famous artist and now a reputable legislative member who had abandoned his granddaughter. Presumably this father and son had inherited sins. Never wasted his own flesh and blood.

Isaac Ibrahim did not like Maya Agustin's husband, who lived on the fruits of his wife, Maya Agustin's hardwork and her husband's dark hearted child. Love seemed to have blinded the eyes of his daughter's heart.

***

On Saturday afternoon at her boarding house, Shasha received several children who asked for some reading guidance. Reyhan, couldn't wait to be able to read on his own, he got bored of hearing his teacher reading for him all the time.

On the terrace, Edo was making use of the place for teaching other children to read. He was trying to win over Shasha's heart, the girl who kept rejecting his love. Shasha had stopped playing theater even though she was very talented. Now he could only help Shasha publish her books of children's fairy tales.
