A visit

I decided to take a deep breath before taking one step at a time down the steps, trying my best to not be nervous. Everything about this scared me, but only by being compliant could I do this well enough. 

Counting each step on the way down made me feel less stressed about the situation, I would be meeting Clarence once again face to face except more confident. 

Step twenty three-twenty four-twenty five-I said to myself strolling down as my stomach started to twist inside itself. I stopped half at the bottom of the stairwell, I started to feel sick. That's when it hit me there was something getting pumped. 

Turning the other way I tried to escape, but my movements slowed. My feet didn't want to move as fast, barely keeping a pace. I collapse against the stone steps, unable to keep my eyes open any longer. 

"Looks like you were right about feeling someone was on the steps." A voice chimed. 

"Of course I was right!" The other voice boasted.
