“No, don't go!” Sukie said, as she pulled him in close to her, almost begging. Pride was not a factor at the current moment. Her body was screaming for him to finish.
Brent looked at her with that look like he was one thought away from ignoring the knock at the door and finishing what they had started.
“Your body is like a piece of art, love.” He said sweetly as he sat up. He licked his lips looking down at her greedily.
“You are so fucking sweet. Don't move. I will be right back!” He commanded with a ravenous look in his eyes.
Brent gave her a quick kiss on her lips below which made her quiver. He threw on his jacket which was draped over the corner chair and left to answer the door.
Sukie covered up with the sheet for the moment. She wrapped it around her and took a walk over to the balcony, taking in the whole beautiful scenery once again. She needed to calm down the throbbing between her legs.
The balcony overlooked a forest and tranquil lake. The moon was huge and amazing as it glimmered across the top of the water. It kissed the lake as though the two shared a forbidden love.
The moon always made Sukie feel powerful and loved. She could sit under it for hours just soaking it up.
Something caught her eye right where the property yard ended, and the forest began. There were bright red eyes in the moonlight looking up at her. It was a form she didn't recognize. It didn't look human.
The image had antlers or horns or a headpiece that looked weird as hell. It was bigger than a deer so she could rule that out.
Its tail looked thin and swirled in a thin spiral. As the moonlight cascaded over it, she could see the skeleton of its rib cage with ripped areas of skin covering it.
There was a shadow over its face so she couldn't see the facial details no matter how hard she squinted.
“What the fuck is this now?” She whispered, as her heart rate increased.
“Shit! Now is not the time. I do not need to start hallucinating again. Please don't tell me this is another dream.” She whispered.
Before panic totally set in, Sukie moved away from the balcony and walked back into the room towards the bed as though she didn't just see something glaring at her in the forest.
Nope! Not tonight! She thought, dismissing the sight of it.
Brent had already returned to the room with worry in his eyes when she walked in. He was sitting on the bed in deep thought.
“Is everything ok,?” Sukie asked, walking towards him as the bedsheet trailed behind her on the floor. She tried her hardest to dismiss the disturbing image she had just seen.
“No. I am not ok! This can't be happening tonight.” He mumbled as he put the top of his head on her stomach as she stood in front of him by the bed. She gently rubbed her hands through his hair.
As she lifted his face and gave him a soft kiss, he pulled her onto him in a straddle, while kissing her gently with little sweet kisses all over her face.
“I have to leave immediately. My father is requesting my presence overseas and I wasn't scheduled to leave until another couple of weeks.” Brent said, as he nuzzled her neck, breathing her in deeply.
Brent never talked about his father much. Sukie didn't question him even though she was dying to know what was really going on.
I mean damn, Brent just had my whole soul in his mouth. I think I earned the right to some info. She thought.
She wasn't going to push him though. It must be really important for him not to say much about it. Time will tell. She figured.
“Do you really have to go right now? It’s after midnight and I am not ready to let you go.” Sukie said, giving him a sad, pleading look.
Brent held her face and put his forehead on hers, like he had yearned for her his whole life.
“This has been the best night of my life. I wish it happened sooner. I am sorry for waiting so long to tell you how I felt.” He said.
“It’s ok. I didn’t tell you anything either and I have felt the same way all this time.” Sukie replied.
Brent smiled, as he softly kissed her collarbone.
“I need to ask something of you.” Brent said.
He sounded so formal since he walked back into the room. It was a little strange. Sukie dismissed that weird feeling though.
“Ok. What is it?” She asked.
“I know you are leaving in a couple of weeks, but would you wait for me until I return?” He asked with uncertainty in his voice.
The silence in the room was deafening as Sukie’s thoughts spiraled.
“What do you mean?” She asked, barely loud enough for him to hear.
“I am going to be gone for a little while. I am not sure how long. But I need you. I can't do what I am going to do if I know you won't be there when I am done.” He said.
Sukie’s stomach grew tight.
“What do you have to do, Brent? This sounds scary.” She said, nervously.
“I can't tell you yet. But you will know soon. I just need you to trust me. I know it's a lot to take in right now, but you will learn everything very soon. You have my word.” He said as he looked deep into Sukie’s eyes.
Brent’s words sounded so sincere that Sukie shook her head without another thought.
“Yes, Brent. I will wait.” Sukie said.
“Are you sure?” He asked worriedly.
“Yes. I have waited for you all this time. I would wait forever for you.” Sukie said, holding back the tears that began to form.
Brent smiled sweetly and got up, lifting her up as she held onto him. He walked towards the wall and put her back up against it, kissing her the entire time.
Sukie didn't want to let go.
“By the way, you taste fantastic!” Brent said, as all the hairs on her neck stood up and her stomach tensed.
“Let's get dressed and get out of here.” He said, while he reluctantly put her down.
