Chapter 22 Phoenix Trials

Right now mc is entering a cave and is slowly walking in the darkness. He left Cang Yue with the phoenix people to cultivate and slowly upgrade her sharingan. Except the profound veins of evil god and sharingan, mc also gave her the physique and heart of qingyue and also the power to reset. He didnt give her all as it would be too much. He started thinking he might had wasted his wish for the clones and all that.

"Maybe i should had also made it for my servants. Who knows, maybe if in some world some clan or people are getting chased and exterminated, i could had saved them."

Jasmine was currently sleeping right now so mc could speak to hinself aloud for all he cared. After a bit of walking, everything suddenly turned dark and a pair of slited beast eyes appeared before him. They were...well of the same color as anime said they were duh.

"Hoh, it has been a while since someone came to the trial grounds. Hmmm a profound sovereign realm expert... So do you accept the trial?"

"Hoh, you are quite direct... Fine i accept. I came for the trials anyway."

"Good, then we shall begin soon challenger."

After a while, the scene changed and now he was in. He was in some sort of place with lava everywhere and nothing more than well... rocks and lava and magma.... Anyway, the phoenix voice resounded at this time.

{a/n: i forgot about the terrain too... well who cares we are here for the bloodline not for sightseeing.}

"Your first trial is to defeat the fire purgatory demon! Good luck!"

'I swear i could litteraly hear him think aloud.... AND ENTERTAIN ME!... after the good luck part...'

"What are you doing thinking? Concentrate!"

"Ok ok i get it."

In front of him appeared the purgatory demon. From his aura he is clearly about a middle level divine origin...

'this dude tryin ta kill me!'

"Whatever, lets just do this!"

Mc dashed at him and surrounded hisbody with susanoo.The demon attacked but his attaxk only made a crack on susanoo before it quickly repaired itself. Mc decided to directly use for the first time the evil god profound arts and opened the gates till the third gate and a scarlet aura appeared around him and his already red susanoo making it a bit more of a bloody red. Mc's lips couldnt help but twitch at this.

'I like black, why are most of my powers always red?'

{a/n: fuk u i am god here and u a mortal so listen to my bs which allows me to choose things without having to explain it! A spermed eye kid named it... FATE!!!! and like he said to a ninja kid stupidly dressed in orange in the chuunin exams :"No one can escape fate!" cough i mean i decide here... Neiji suddenly coughibg his food on lee's face while lee wanting to show him some of his youthful anger at this moment.}

Mc's susanoo was incomplete so he only had the skeleton hands and no weapons. He used his profound handle to create a giant heavy sword and started to gather dangerously huge Ass amount of profound energy around it. Unfortunately the danger is not because of the amount but because he compressed it on the sword.

Sensing danger, the demon rushed to try to breaxb the defense which has unfortumately been strengthen due to evil god arts.

"Your within my striking range... Taste the technique that decimates both the sun and moon... Falling Moon Sinking Star!!!!"

{a/n: srry guys i just mentioned neiji and i couldnt help but steal part of his sentence lol}

Saying so the susanoo swung its arm and the area around the demon exploded. Although it was quite small compared to Destroying Sky Decimating Earth but it was more than enough for the demon to die.

It had been litterally pulverised. Jothing of it remained and suddenly the scenery changed and mc was transported back to darkness.

"Congratulations for passing the first trial. If i am not wrong you must be the successor of the evil god right? Well it matters not as a challenger is a challenger is a challenger. Now onto the second trial."

The scenery changed again as this time he was standing on a plain terrain.

"Survive the phoenix arrows! Good luck!"

'Again i thought i heard that thought.'

"Concentrate and take this seriously."

Mc simply activated his susanoo and let the arrows hit. After a while he was forced to open his gates little by little. In the end although a little bit tired but still able to preserve mc passed the trial.

"Now then, now that you have passed these trials, the only one that remains is the trial of the heart."

Mc paused for a bit to relax. After signaling he was ready, he started to see the scene change. He of course would not let the phoenix see his past life as only jasmine is an exception as she is his future wife. The phoenix is different and he needs the bloodline so he just blocked his memories of his past life.

He was in a cotage and saw a naked hot girl on the bed. He was currently standing and holding a knife. He simply looked at her and then heard the phoenix's voice.

"Kill her and you shall obtain my power."

Seeing this mc couldnt help but sneer.

'Even politicians less than hundreds years old can lie better than a million year old remanent spirit of a phoenix god.'

He simply put the knife near the girl, turned and went to sit with his back facing her to meditate. He said

"I will never kill my loved ones for power. Even if she is fake i would rather die than kill her with my hands."

Mc suddenly felt a feeling of something entering his head and that was his knife. After a while everything became dark and only the slits of the phoenix which represents its eyes appeared.

{a/n: Bastards!!! im sure some of you thought of that slit down there!!!! perverts thats bestiality lol.}

"Why didnt you kill her? Didnt you want my bloodline?"

"I already said it so dont waste my time."

"You are right... Congratulations as you obtained my bloodline."

Before that small discussion.

"To what do i owe the pleasure of your presence heavenly slaughter star princess?"

"You said that this trial is a trial of the heart. So that means that you read his memories right?"

"That is right. And i will answer what you are fearing. He is not really eveil but his powers themselves were obtained from some evil entity full of hate i guess... The ability i am talking about is the ability to revive from the dead, something he calls resetting."

"Is this transforming him into a demon?"

"No. It is just that the fact that he cannot die has changed him inside. He has already fought against that entity and died at least millions of times for sure. The only things i can tell you is that the entity said it is made of L.O.V.E which it says means Level Of ViolencE. The more it killed, the more it suffered less and could kill more violently. I guess he might have unconciously gotten that trait as well."

"You do not need to worry as i can feel his soul is still pure compared to that entity full of hatred. He should only show such a dark side against his enemies or else the rest is just that side of him unconciously manifesting as you have seen. Besides if in the future he did become the devil, as long as he is sealed he would eventually die. After all, he would die of old age."

"Thank you for your help."

"No problem and if you want to ask more. Then you can only ask him."
