"Ahh, I'm all sore. Seems this is my limit." Ezra said, as his back hit on the cave wall to catch his breath, heaving his chest in and out in a controlled manner.
"I need to find a suitable place for shelter now." He said, but as he was now, he needed to rest. He had studied these foes for some time now, so he knew their regular attack patterns. With that knowledge, Ezra was able to avoid injuries as much as possible when facing them.
The deeper he went into the dungeon, the more he realized that it wasn't just a direct passage until the end. Around the sixtieth day here, or so, Ezra finally burst into a section that spread out wide, unlike the one he had been on. This place also had some crystals scattered around that emitted light from them, illuminate the surrounding areas.
Of course, this meant that he was now in an even difficult situation, as he had to now navigate and find the correct pathway that led forward. Even at the moment, he had no idea if he was on the right path, but since it kept going and he was yet to hit a dead end, there was no reason to turn back.
To sleep now, all he needed to do was find a secluded corner and place the matrass he bought from the system shop and sleep.
He was never truly safe even in these illuminated areas. Initially, Ezra thought that when he killed the monsters in a particular area, like when he was still in the one directional pathway, it was akin to clearing that area. Now though, he had learned that it wasn't exactly the case. The monsters in this dungeon behaved too much like those in games. They were respawned after death. Basically, these monsters were unquenchable.
Throughout this time, Ezra had gained another skill that really helped him in his survival.
..
[Concealment]
Hind your power to appear as a weakling. A bit of your presence can also be hidden, but it is useless against more powerful foes.
Level: 1
- Passive - Hide 30% Strength
- Active - Conceal your presence for 30s
Mana Cost: 100
Progress: 30%
..
The mana cost only affected the active part of his skill. This was also a very weird skill, as it had both active and passive effects, but it seemed like the skill itself was categorized under Active skills. Ezra thought it was so maybe because the Concealment of presence was a stronger effect, but in the end there was no need to rack his brain over it. What was important was that it worked properly and was very helpful.
Looking at skill again, Ezra couldn't help but think that in future he would appear as a normal unawakened human if the passive effect was to reach 100%. What if he needed to appear imposing in future? He would only look like a lamb. Truth be told, he really didn't want to be the type to pretend to be a pig and swallow the dragon, but alas, it was inevitable.
After managing to get some sleep, the monsters would not allow Ezra anymore of it. They knew no honour, asleep or awake, it didn't matter, when they see their prey, they attack.
With Ezra's high sense now, he could even tell if he was being attacked in his sleep, so he didn't die like a sloth.
"Damn wolf. It always turns into blood after dying.. Disgusting." Said, Ezra, as he got up from his matrass and put the item into his inventory. These days, a little sleep was enough for him to fully recover his strength.
In such a place where it was dark for the most part, and away from sunlight, it was completely impossible for Ezra to know if it was day or night. Really, he could only thank the daily quests. Speaking of daily quests;
[Daily quest has arrived]
..
[DAILY QUEST]
Complete the set goals before the day runs out if not a penalty will be handed out.
Push-Ups - [0/100]
Sit-ups - [0/100]
Squats - [0/100]
Running - [0/10km]

Ezra closed the window before him and opened up his inventory. Now that he had a bit of money, since he decided not to buy any weapon for the time being, since the weapons the system sold were quite useless, he was stock full of basic necessities. He took out some bread (not hard bread, but nothing fantastic), and munched away. After everything, he down it all with some water.
It would be better for him if he completed the daily quest early as he always did, instead of waiting until later. Also, the appearance of the daily quest meant that this was another day.
.
.
Less than an hour later, Ezra had completed the daily quests, and was now looking at his rewards. As it normally was, there was nothing special. He chose what looked best and the tab closed after confirming if that was the reward he wanted.
"Forward huh? Just another day."
Really, if it was someone else that happened to be trapped in such a place for so long, Ezra could imagine that they would start going insane little by little, or depression, or something else, maybe schizophrenia? This hadn't happened to him though.
Of course, the only thing he could turn towards was the system, but then again, there was no means of conversing with the system. He could only guess it was the reason why his mental fortitude was this great and move on.
