Abyss Holder

This story has been dropped!! In the desolate urban sprawl, there existed a boy named Steven – a name as commonplace as the concrete beneath his worn-out shoes. His figure, terribly slender, bore the weight of days without sustenance, a stark reflection of the harsh life within the shadows of the towering skyscrapers. His disheveled appearance spoke of deprivation; his clothing, little more than rags haphazardly sewn together, clung to his meager frame. Steven's features, though obscured by grime, revealed a haunting contrast. His black hair, adorned with a few rebellious red strands, framed a face marked by hardship. His pupils, black with a faint but discernible red tint, mirrored the desolation etched into his soul. Staring into the familiar darkness that enveloped his existence, Steven couldn't help but voice the silent question that echoed in his mind, "When is this going to end?" The abyss, seemingly attuned to his despair, responded with a transformative touch. The surroundings, once stagnant and oppressive, began to shift and change before him, trapping him in a perpetual cycle of witnessing his own tragic past unfold. Transported back to the age of six, Steven found himself amidst the warmth of familial joy, his parents' and his own expressions radiating happiness. Yet, even in the midst of this fleeting respite, the relentless cycle persisted, as if destiny reveled in replaying the moments that fueled the flames of his recurrent nightmares. Fighting against the inexorable pull of his haunting memories, Steven, like a slum-bound ghost, yearned for an end to the perpetual loop. The city's towers cast long shadows over his struggle, and the contrast between the opulence above and his desolation below fueled his determination for a better life. In the midst of this dire reality, Steven's path took an unexpected turn when he made the resolute decision to enlist in the military. The armed forces, a gateway to opportunity and escape from the slum's oppressive grasp, promised a chance to break free from the shackles of his impoverished past. Little did Steven know that his journey would extend far beyond the familiar streets of the slums. The military, equipped with advanced technology and knowledge of other dimensions, opened doors to realms previously unimaginable. As he explored new universes and studied the cosmic mysteries, Steven's quest for a better life evolved into a cosmic odyssey, challenging not only the limits of his physical existence but also the boundaries of reality itself. Throughout this transformative journey, Steven, emotionally reserved and scarred by the echoes of his past, found solace in the bonds forged amidst the trials of the military. Trust and love became the cornerstones of his emotional awakening, as he learned to unveil the layers of vulnerability hidden beneath his stoic exterior. As Steven navigates the interwoven tapestry of action, tragedy, romance, sci-fi, adventure, and dimensions, the narrative expands to reflect the complexity of his existence. The story, no longer confined to the limitations of the slums, becomes a symphony of emotions, echoing the resilient spirit of a young man determined to transcend the shadows of his past and embrace the limitless possibilities that unfold across the cosmic expanse.

why it hurt so badly.

As Jack and I moved to the kitchen, we were both quiet, but initially, Jack broke the silence. "I am sorry about your parents' death," he said, but I shrugged it off. "It's OK, it's been 10 years since then. It's all in the past. "I said it was true that it was in the past." I had become numb to those feelings of sadness after watching my family die again and again in my dreams. It's just a part of my life now.

After a moment of silence, Jack said, "Well, you're quite good at lying too." You even convinced my wife—that's even hard for me. " With a smile, he said, "It must have been hard for you, kid," as he stopped and stared ahead as if he were contemplating something I was unaware of. My boy tensed up as soon as he said it, and I asked, "What are you talking about?" without turning to face him.

You can't keep it a secret from me. You had all your nails torn out when you arrived, and your expression implied that you would kill anyone who bothered you. You know, my species can read someone's surrounding mana to determine how they are feeling. You emanated a gloomy aura. When you arrived here, the mana around your body was behaving as though it had been struck by a truck. Jack smiled while saying all of this, and he then went to the stove. I continued to stand where I was and questioned him, "How much do you know?"

Jack turned around as I posed this question and remarked, "Kid, you reeked of blood." I understand that AJ is a bounty hunter, and since you joined him as a partner, I assume that you also started out as a bounty hunter. "You see, back on my home planet, I was a seasoned army captain. The moment you entered my restaurant, I knew you had killed someone."

"So why?" I questioned. "Why did you allow Aimee and me to begin dating? Why would you allow such a threat to approach your daughter so closely?" I questioned him. " HOW COULD YOU HAVE BEEN SO SURE I WOULDN'T HURT THEM? WHY LET A PERSON WHO WOULD KILL WITHOUT ANY HESITATION STAY BESIDE YOUR DAUGHTERS?" I was yelling at this point.

I didn't know why someone who knew what kind of person I was let me stay with someone they cared about so much.

My eyes were blazing, and some of my mana had started to leave my body. I wasn't sure why I was upset. Why was I so furious with Jack because he knew what I had done in the past? Was it resentment that he permitted me to approach Aimee despite knowing everything? I asked this of myself. Angry with myself, perhaps? Or was this another situation? I had no idea why it hurt so badly.

Jack sighed when he saw this and said, "Kid, calm down." My wife and daughters are still in the living room. Don't let your mana run out or you might accidentally hurt them. " My head suddenly snapped in the direction of the door when I heard this. They had to have heard every word we said; it was obvious. "I created a mana barrier that muffles sound, so don't be worried. They heard nothing. From behind me, Jack uttered those words. When I heard this, I sighed quietly inside before turning to face Jack and asking, "Why Jack?" once more, but this time in a normal tone.

Jack turned around when I asked him this and motioned for me to get closer with his head. After a brief moment of hesitation, I moved closer. As I did so, Jack spoke once more, "Before I came to this planet, I worked in the Army of My Planet and, well, I had done my fair share of killing." I Was Just Like You Back Then. I Would Have Killed Anyone Who Stands Against Me. But I got tired of that life and retired; I had too much blood on my hands and moved from planet to planet like a wanderer, and when I finally arrived before meeting Emma, I thought just like you. "Why would someone who had so much blood on his hands care about me?" I remember thinking that I was a danger to those around me."

"I did, however, realize this after I met Emma. To get to where I was so I could see her again, I would have killed countless people. She helped me learn how to love. Killing those who will hurt you or those around you is acceptable, but avoid developing a habit of killing and taking lives that you will later regret. I was confident you wouldn't harm anyone who hadn't done you wrong. I didn't stop you from dating my daughter because of this. "

After hearing his story, I was still reflecting on what he had said when I suddenly felt something wet and runny slide down my cheek. When I touched my cheek, I realized I was crying. I at last understood why I was so angry. I was angry because I believed that no one was meant to love me. I wasn't worthy of anyone's love. I'm the kind of person who would kill anyone who did me wrong in any way. I at last understood the source of my pain.

When I tried to wipe my tears off, they wouldn't stop flowing. Seeing this, Jack moved and gave me a hug. Even after a few minutes, the tears didn't stop, so Jack stayed like that until my tears stopped.

"What do you think is taking them so long?" Aimee asked her mother, "It's your boyfriend's first time cooking, so I think it might take some time," Emma replied after hearing Aimee's question. Soon, Jack and I came out of the kitchen carrying some dishes. I put them on the dining table. As soon as I did so, my eyes met with Aimee's. She hurriedly came to me and put a hand on my chest and made me face her as she asked in a worried tone.

"Why are your eyes red?" "Well, it was my first time cooking and I didn't expect to cry so much because of the onions." I replied and continued, "Thank-you for worrying about me so much" and gave her a kiss on the forehead. My actions surprised both Jack and Emma. As for Arinn, she was jumping with joy when she saw this. Soon after getting over the shock, Jack said, "Alright, let's eat."
