20 Chapter 20

We were just sitting on the ground in silence. The comfortable type not the awkward one. I breathe in all the scents my nose can take in. I love the smell of nature and it is just as beautiful as the smell.

I feel someone sit to the right of me. I look to see that Xavier has taken that spot. I turn back to the view just enjoying the moment. The thought of the girl and Chloe both came to my mind. Their death is because of me. If only I had just lied or covered up the bruise then they would still be alive.

I can't stop myself from asking about them. I need to know about those girls. "What happened to the maid that came before Chloe?" I know Xavier is probably going to be angry since he told me to drop the subject but I have to know.

"Harmony I told you to drop that subject already didn't I?" His voice sounds so threatening right now. I would really piss my pants if it weren't for me not trying to embarrass myself.

"There was a girl before Chloe and I wasn't told?" I guess Damien wasn't told about that girl either. So Xavier has to explain this to the both of us.

"Yes it was Sasha. She put her hands on Harmony after me and her had a discussion. I dealt with her properly so don't worry." I still wanted to know more about her though. Like did she really mean nothing to them? Did I get in the way of their relationship? Was I really to blame for her death?

"Next time tell me these type of things. I'm happy that you dealt with her but I would have loved to help." He just seems to like that she was killed for her actions. It wasn't like it was that important. She didn't hit me hard at all. She just caught me off guard. I bruise too easily so it looked like she hurt me badly.

"Could you tell me more about her? I feel really guilty since I'm to blame for her death."

"No you're not. She caused that to herself same as Chloe. They shouldn't have put their hands on what's mine." Xavier can say such warm things meanly.

"Yeah but-" Damien interrupted me.

"No buts. I don't want to hear it at all." I wish they would have let me finish. I know they wouldn't have liked it but they should still listen just in case.

I nod and look down at the ground. I want to know more about them. I wan to know how they were as a person.

"Could you tell me a little about them though?"

Xavier sighs at this and I know that he is about to tell me about them.

"I found Sasha on the streets one day on our way back home. She looked like she went through some tough things and life and needed our help. So we took her in and let her be a maid. As we got to know her she was kind at first and just wanted to help everyone. She would do anything for us without hesitation. We were frustrated one day and needed a release and she was there. After that we started to use her whenever we need to release emotions. Soon we realized that the more we used her the more snobby got. She believed she was better than everyone and that we loved her. She thought that one day we would marry her. We soon lost interest in her." Xavier narrated Sasha's story. I feel bad because she was kind and just thought she was better than everyone since she was getting attention from her bosses.

"Now Chloe's story is a little less sympathetic. Chloe's dad was a businessman of a small building. He wasn't very known around the business world. He spoiled Chloe an made her believe she could get anything she wanted. Her dad had a proposition for us so he can gain power. He wanted us to marry his little "angel". She instantly agreed with her father after finding out who we were. We quickly declined the offer but he was adamant on getting us to marry Chloe. Chloe starting to believe that her father could give her anything thought that we would say yes and started saying she was our wife. We took her into the mansion so she can stop the rumors. She took that as us going to marry her but we quickly shut that down when we gave her the maid's outfit. She tried to tell the other maids what to do thinking that she was better than everyone else. Soon she got followers and started to torment the maids. She started to sleep around with our men thinking that that was going to get our attention." Now Chloe just sounds like a bitch. Still that doesn't mean that she deserves death.

I take in all the information just letting everything soak in. I still have one question.

"Damien, how come I didn't see you while I was here the first few weeks and also didn't hear anything about you?" This thought has been on my mind for a while now.

"I was busy on a mission. I was in a whole different continent. I didn't even know you existed until I arrived back home from my mission. Now imagine my surprise when I heard that my brother brought home a beautiful woman and wants her as his queen? You were like my surprise present for me."

"The reason why you didn't hear about him is because he was important to you. I wasn't planning on sharing you with him. I also didn't want you knowing too much about me. I needed to trust you first for you to know about my family."

"Is that why you don't talk about the rest of your family and there aren't any pictures up?" I guess I shouldn't have said that from his reaction.

"Don't. Mention. Them. Ever." Xavier eyes darken while Damien clinches his fist. Remind me not to mention their family ever. I don't need two angry men mad at me.

"Sorry I shouldn't have mentioned them." I really am sorry for asking about them. You shouldn't bring up anyone's family since you don't know anything about them. You don't want to hurt someone since you were curious.

"You don't need to be sorry just remember that they are bad and shouldn't come out of your pretty little mouth." I would expect this from Damien but never Xavier. I'm so surprised that he can genuinely say something nice without sounding mean.

I discovered something new about Xavier. I guess you can say that today was a great day.
