The Calling
A man wearing a purple round neck tshirt with dark blue horizontal stripes and blue jeans with an imposing looking gold chain on his neck was walking down an alleyway with a thug attitude, his body leans towards masculine; countenance overbearing.
Walking at a leisurely pace, he kicked away a soda can in front of him.
"tsk, which fucker is throwing trash in here, aii, these fuckers with no manners, tsk."
Suddenly he felt a chilling wave wash over him and he looked back with caution and his eyes almost popped out. In front of him appeared a glowing dark neon portal releasing a cold air outwards.
" Wait, that's ...oh fuck.."
He immediately tried to turn around and run, but unfortunately for him, in that instance, the portal sucked him inside and disappeared like it never was there.

In an eerie endless looking dark forest with a chilli atmosphere, thousands of portals appeared randomly.
In an unremarkable area in the dark forest, a portal opened 2 meters above ground and a body was thrown out.
"Ahhhhrhhhaaa!"
*ThUd*
"Ouch, Ahhrhh, fuck fuck, why??, just why me?, damnit aaarrgghhh just why, why?."
The man still rolling on the ground cursed out loud, his frustration and dismay evident.
"Hey ahjussi! get up, don't be a coward."
His antics were broken by the shout of a stranger, making his anger flare-up bulging a vein on his forehead.
Looking back up, he saw a girl adorning a university uniform and backpack looking down at him with a judging look from the top of a broken down old tree trunk.
"What do brats like you know, do you know that not even 10% of the people entering here return alive, also it's oppa for you, not ahjussi, he protested while slowly standing up."
"So what?, you gain strength here as well, besides it's old people who act all grumpy like you are the first one's to die."
"That's why I am acting this way you brat, and again it's OPPA, not AHJUSSI. Ughh."
"You look old, you are dressed like an old thug and you act like a grumpy old grandpa."
Hearing this his veins bulged further.
"You!! Take that back, I am only 30, are you asking for a beating ?"
The man lifted his right hand in a threatening motion and walked close to the girl, but unexpectedly the girl give a strong right leg kick to the man's crouch area.
"Hhuaap ..grrk..hak."
The impact was sudden and brutal. The assailant's boot connected with his groin, causing an immediate, searing pain. The man's eyes widened, and he gasped, collapsing to his knees. His face contorted in agony, and he clutched at his injured area, struggling to breathe. The world seemed to blur around him as he sank to the ground, doubled over, unable to stand.
~an eternity later~
The man was still on the ground and the girl was sitting on a broken tree trunk.
"Hey, are you alright? ...just so you know, I learnt taekwondo for 8 whole years, so don't pull that again."
"Ughk" the replay was a low grawl
"...Hey, here, it's water." The girl holds out a bottle towards the man on the ground.
The man slowly sitting up with a defeated and dejected expression took the bottle, took several sips, then placed the bottle on the side. Then he sat facing opposite the girl, looking at the sky pondering god knows what.
~another eternity later~
"Hey, we can't be here forever, it will get dangerous, you know that right?"
She asked, but no reply came.
"Ooii, I know I didn't kick that hard, so drop the act, you look so pitiful right now."
'fuck you, not your full power?, bullshit, it still hurts when I move, ugh!'
"Hey, can't you hear me, I said it will get dangerous, you look strong, so why don't we form a team?, hey ahjussi?"
The man had a vein popup and he gave a glare back, but decided to calm himself as he knows the dangers around them.
"Alright, let's go for the castle, ....and, I wasn't going to hit you."
"I know."
The girl said as a matter of fact, then started looking around. This earned another bulging vein on the man's forehead.
"By the way, I am Kang Sora, what about you?"
"...Kim Jong un "
"..."
"..."
"pfft hahaha, for real?"
"You!!"
"pft, ok ok, ...there, I found the castle "
she pointed to the side while suppressing her chuckle
Jong-un looked to where Kang Sora was pointing and he saw the infamous castle that he had only heard of.
The castle in the distance towering above all else was a sight to behold, in the dark and foggy moonlit atmosphere, it stood as a beacon, made from an unknown indestructible material and a fine granite texture, it stood on top of a mountain silently reflecting the gentle rays of moonlight.
This place is called the ancient ruins and this castle is called the 'Castle of the End', it was written on the castle walls depicting this place as the fragment of a once prosperous divine plane. Nobody knows how it came to or where it came from or even the cause behind the summoning of people to this plane.
History depicts that the summoning to the ancient ruins termed as 'Calling' started millions of years ago, the callings happens at random, it can happen at an interval of few months to few years at times, it is unpredictable and when it happens, tens of thousands of people gets transferred to the ruins, even that is at random, nobody can know which part they will be transferred to, if you are unlucky, you could end up teleported high up in the sky and fall to your death.
If you were lucky to survive the teleportation, then, you will have a day to reach the castle, if you don't, you might become monster food. But if you want to get to the castle you have to cross a barrier, inside the barrier are many monsters, it depends on your luck which one you encounter.
If a person can arrive at the castle after this perilous journey, then the moment that person arrives at the castle, they get a random ability, a system and a talent rank that determines their growth rate.
