Abigail's Anxiety.

Abigail woke up the following morning with a mild migraine. She lazily climbed down from the bed and helped herself with a glass of water by the bedside. She drank the water and dropped the glass back on the table while she waited patiently for all her system to come alive.

Memories of the previous night's celebration flooded her mind and she smiled at all the fun she had with Adrian. However, her joy was incomplete due to Alex's absence. Even when she tried calling him later at night to check up on him, he didn't take her calls. So she wrongly assumed that he was busy with work or maybe it wasn't convenient to take her calls.

What Abigail didn't know was that Alex had spent the previous night drowning his sorrows in different bottles of whiskey back in his hotel room. She had no idea how devastated and hopeless Alex was feeling. She didn't know that Alex couldn't bring himself to talk to her. She had no idea of the trauma awaiting her.
