Chapter 4- Green Glow

Nova opened her eyes and saw green. Green everywhere. Green lights, green clothes, green faces. The world was green.

She looked around and saw no familiar faces. This is it, she thought. If only I was more careful, this wouldn't have happened. The people around her looked green, wait no, blue? It was hard to tell because she was surrounded by a thick, green goo. It was so thick, that no one should of been able to breathe in it. But Nova could.

What did they do to me!? Nova thought anxiously. I want to go home!

Suddenly, she heard a voice.

"Hey Girl, you awake yet?" It was a voice from a boy, she could tell that for sure, and he had an accent. But it was one that she couldn't quite place.

-------

Then there was air, space around her. She was in a room. A strange room. Like hers, it was a hexagon, but that's where the similarities ended. Her room was painted like a galaxy, this one was metal. Her room had no space on the walls for anything to be placed, this one had plenty of room. The only object on the wall, was a small metal shelf, containing only a small card. Wait, is it even on the wall? Thought Nova. It was a floating shelf! Now that she got a better look around, the bed, side table, and chair were floating too! Where was she, some alien spaceship or something? In my dreams, She thought.

Now how do I get that card? Thought Nova. I want to read it. As if it knew, the card gently came down and landed on Nova's lap. She opened it. "Dearest Nova," It read. Was it from my parents? They don't call me that though. Nova thought. "Always remember, 03146." That was all it said.

"That's all! What even is 03146 supposed to mean?" Nova shouted.

"Whoa, whoa, calm down," Another voice, the one the Nova had heard before said. She turned and looked at the person who was talking to her. It was an alien, a boy, with light grayish blue skin, violet eyes, and raven black hair. His eyes shimmered like galaxies, just like Nova's.

"What happened to me..." Nova questioned. "You blacked out for no reason at all," The boy started. "It was weird. You were fine a second ago and then your eyes went blank. I-it, it certainly was not normal..."

"YOU KNOW WHAT'S NOT NORMAL?" Nova screeched. The boy recoiled. "BEING TAKEN FROM YOUR FAMILY TO BE KILLED!"

The boy nervously looked around and then burst into laughing. It was a strange sound, the laughing was. "You think that we take people to kill them!" The boy said in between laughs. "We just take them when the Elders see a bad fortune." Continued the boy. He wasn't laughing anymore, just chuckling slightly.

"What!?" Nova exclaimed. "For years we have believed that you took us and killed us! Why haven't you said so! It would have made things lots easier! And ya' know what! I don't believe any word you say! How can you explain people being taken and NEVER COMING BACK!? I think that that's very suspicious."

"Let me start from the beginning then," Said the boy. "It all began when..."

"Nuh uh!" Nova interrupted. "Not until you tell me your name boy!"

"Okay, okay. I'm Raze. This is Zolia of End Galaxy. You are currently in Space Pod 02189. You blacked out and..."

"I know that already boy! Get on to the real story!" Nova yelled.

"I will when you stop calling me boy. Call me by my real name." Raze replied.

"Fiiiiiiiiiine." Nova whined. "Okay Raze"

"I can tell we will never be friends..." Raze mumbled under his breath.

"I heard that!"

"Now can I just tell the story..."

"Yes! Hurry up too, I have a family waiting for me at my home!"

"Um, okay... Well, it all started hundreds of years ago, when there was war, World War 1 I believe, and there was a person named Cosmo, he was an Elder, he saw the future of this little innocent girl on Earth named Alula, who was going to be killed. So he and his alien friends took her away. When the war was over, they were trying to return the girl to her home, but she refused to go. SO they let her stay here. And that's everything." Raze explained.

"Wait, wait, wait." Nova said. "So the girl just died here? She never even got to say goodbye to her family? That's just dumb!"

"No no no! That's not what happened!" Raze yelled. Someone from another room looked inside.

"Is everything okay in here?" He asked.

"Yup, just telling her a story!" Raze said with a fake smile on.

"Oh, okay. It sounded like you kids were getting in a fight here! We don't want that to happen!"

"Y-yeah! That would be terrible!" Nova said through clenched teeth.

"Well, bye! Have a wonderful rest of your day!"

"Phew! That was a close one! Do you know who that is Nova?" Raze asked.

"N-no..."

"That is Zuno, the person who foresaw your future!" Raze exclaimed.

"C-cool. NOW BACK TO MY QUESTIONS PLEASE!"

"Alright, alright. Well, Alula is still alive to this day. As you know, we Zolians can live a long time. Humans can too, if they live here."

"W-wait... SO I'M GONNA LIVE FOREVER!" Nova exclaimed.

"No. Not unless you live here. And even then your years would be limited. But you would still live for thousands of years."

"Cool. Well, I'm tired. I am going to bed." And on that note, Nova dozed off.
