2 Elizabeth, the little spawn of the devil

8 years later...

"Alik, have you found Elizabeth yet? The Crown Prince and the Empress are already on their way here," the Duke said while tidying up his hair.

"No. But I trust Young Lady Elizabeth's timing. She will not disappoint you, master," Alik said.

"I thought you were keeping your eye on that little spawn of the devil. How did she manage to get away from you," the Duke said.

Cordelia, who was already dressed elegantly was roaming around her dead mother's rose garden. It was filled with different colors of roses which she loved.

Alik suddenly appeared in front of her as she was smelling the roses.

"I thought you trust my timing, Alik," Cordelia said indifferently.

"Yes, but your father has been pressuring me to go look for you. The Empress and the Crown Prince is already at the entrance," Alik said.

"Is that so?" Elizabeth said as she picked a beautiful white rose.

"Carry me to them," she said.

Alik picked her and bridal carried her to the entrance of the castle.

She arrived first before her father before the servants opened the doors. His father was surprised to see her already waiting for the Royals.

"I see Alik wasn't wrong in trusting you," the Duke said and eyed the elf bodyguard who was beside his daughter.

The father and daughter greeted the Empress and the young Crown Prince at the entrance of their home.

"Good morning, your majesty. A white rose for the pure heart of our precious Empress," Elizabeth said as she bowed down to the Empress and offered the rose she had picked earlier from her mother's rose garden.

"Hmm, such charming daughter you have Fredrick. I am impressed. What is your name, dear child?" the Empress asked as she hovered the rose to her nose, catching the rose fragrance.

"Elizabeth, your majesty," the little girl said.

"She's smart for her age, an intelligence that a true empress should possess. I'm delighted how you named her after my dear friend's name," the Empress said.

Before the Duke could even speak, the Crown Prince entered the halls.

"Mother, I'm bored. When will we be getting back to the castle?" the 10-year-old prince said.

"Nonsense. My dearest Fredrick, this is my son, Edward," the Empress said as she held his son's hand. "My dear, this is Elizabeth. Your soon-to-be wife," she added.

Elizabeth bowed to the prince but secretly she was mocking him.

How could a prince be this carefree? she silently scoffed.

"Let's talk further in the study room, your majesty. Perhaps the prince and my daughter would like to take a stroll in the garden together," the Duke suggested.

"Yes, that will be great. Since we will be staying for the entire week, perhaps dear Elizabeth would tour the little prince around the mansion?" the Empress said.

Even though Elizabeth didn't want to be with the prince, she has no choice but to comply with the Empress' request.

"As you wish, your majesty," Elizabeth said as she bowed again to the Empress.

The Empress was really impressed with Elizabeth as she smiled at her sweetly before the Duke guided her towards the study room.

Meanwhile, Alik escorted the two children towards the rose garden. While they were walking, the 10-year-old prince kept glancing towards little Elizabeth. She was already mature for her age, he thought.

"What do you want to do, your highness?" Elizabeth asked the prince.

"I'd like to explore the woods. I heard the Carleston woods are filled with fairies and dragons," the prince said.

"Can we, Alik? We won't get out of your sight," Elizabeth asked her bodyguard.

"Alright, Liz. But let's ask a guidance first from the fairies so if both of you or one of you gets lost, they can help. Understood?" Alik said as he bent down to carry his young mistress.

Elizabeth nodded.

Symbols were etched at the 2 giant stone columns that stood at the entrance of the woods. Alik made a small offering and chanted a spell that only elves and fairies know, afterward, the fairy queen appeared.

Alik bowed down to it, as well as Elizabeth. The crown prince was too full of himself so Elizabeth pulled Edward to bow before the Fairy Queen.

"Ahh, the little spawn of the devil wants to explore my woods," the Fairy Queen said as she saw Elizabeth.

The prince thought he was the spawn of the devil so he decided to tell the Fairy Queen that he is the Royal Crown Prince of the Vetrai people, but before he could speak, Elizabeth cut him off.

"If you're still mad about me burning your precious flower, then I apologize," Elizabeth smiled sweetly at her before bowing.

"YOU .. YOU," the Fairy Queen was already raging with mad. "That flower was given to me by Alik and you burned it to ashes."

Fairies and Elves were known for their intimate relationships, and the Fairy Queen has taken a liking of her precious bodyguard so she decided to burn the flower that Alik had given. It was originally given by Alik as an offering to enter the woods to search for Elizabeth's baby dragon but the Fairy Queen had other thoughts about the flower.

Before a war between the two ladies ignited, Alik jumped in to calm the Fairy Queen.

"Your majesty, if it's a flower you want, I shall give you another one, but only if you permit the Crown Prince and his soon-to-be wife, explore your woods," Alik said.

The Fairy Queen was happy to hear that from Alik so she gave her permission and instructed a lot of fairies to guard the prince and his fiancee in their adventure.

A spawn of devil? The Crown Prince secretly smiled while holding little Elizabeth's hand.
