Chapter 11: Odd

Jin Mo's POV

The meeting was dismissed after we came up with the decision to visit the family home of Morde Family tomorrow morning to investigate further and confirm the facts that were given to us.

While cycling home, I was wondering what would happen tomorrow. The president basically assigned every member a task for the commission except me. She said that I need to be an observer for this mission and Senior Iris reminded me to take the necklace with me tomorrow. Aside from those, I don't need to do anything else.

After arriving home, my contemplation ceased as I got prepared for dinner.

After dinner, Jin Mo opened his books to do the reading assignment that was assigned to their class. And after finishing it, he decided to surf the internet for some news.

"Wedding of the Century! Union of the Music King and the TV Goddess!"

"Government; To amend the constitution for the greater or the lesser good?"

"Increased chances of heat stroke due to the sweltering summer heat!"

"Morde Family stock prices plummet; The end of a giant?!"

Reading the news promotes awareness of current affairs and cultivates a broader global perspective, that is why Jin Mo always sets time for news reading.

Wait-- Morde? Where have I heard that?

Jin thought for a while and his thoughts drifted back to their meeting this afternoon... The family that commissioned them was called the Morde family.

With a spirit of curiosity, he searched the web for clues about this family and hoped that maybe he could get something out of the information.

He found out that the elderly of the family are extremely fond of antiques, maybe that's why their offsprings gifted them the vase.

With the algorithm working in full force, as he got deeper, he found information about antiques, especially the vase that was auctioned two months ago.

As Jin saw the picture of the vase, he thought, "Isn't the shape too odd for a vase?"

He also found out that the vase was found in the mausoleum of a noble family... That's not a good sign!

In his years of existence, he has come to know many things through observation. And one thing he found out is that: dark energy always swirls around cemeteries and mausoleums the most!
