The rest of the evening was a blur that Aadi tired of. It had inched close to midnight and most of the guests had departed- leaving close friends and family behind. Aadi was delighted to see Garai leave.
Leaning against the smooth white pillars of the hall, Aadi mused at his life. Everyday held surprises, most he didn't like. The idea of ever having a somewhat normal life seemed morbid now, slowly drifting away. He found himself basking in the surreality of liberty to do as he pleased. The Couibous Royale, as glamorous and flashy, luxurious and beautiful as it was, left numerous, gut wrenching thoughts in Aadi's head. It was a lot to take in for someone so young, and he knew he'd soon break. With numerous heavy sighs, he comforted himself with the the fact that he'd be leaving back to Ardenia as soon as the wedding ended.
