Chapter Ten: End of the Mock Battle

"Fireteam Theta member Sylvanna Price Eliminated

Fireteam Theta member Vanessa Montilla Eliminated

Fireteam Theta member Lawrence Fisher Eliminated

Fireteam Theta member Dylan Moore Eliminated."

Serenity's attack heavily damaged Theta's forces and even eliminated their vice captain, Dylan Moore. Leaving the forces scrambling and reorganizing.

"Captain, press the attack!" Ren yelled on the comms.

The two other teams started to attack their retreating enemies, but it wasn't without some counterattacks. Mainly, Fireteam Theta's Squad Captain Rachel Murphy quickly organized the remaining troops Theta has.

" Fireteam Epsilon member Chloe Elliott eliminated

Fireteam Epsilon member Jessica Andrews eliminated

Fireteam Theta member Lara Gallagher eliminated"

The attack was going well, but not without losses.

"Lily focused on the main force and remember to stay at a distance. Tyler, Serenity, and I will be flanking around to join the main fight. Serenity, how many missiles do you have remaining? Ren asked Serenity.

Serenity answered "Currently, four are at the ready, so I have one more shot."

Ren took a deep breath and ordered "Tyler, you're with me; we are going to create some chaos. Serenity, when I say fire, you fire directly at the biggest bulk of enemy troops. Understood?"

"Wow, Ren, you really like giving orders, huh? At least I'm into that." Serenity teased.

"....what the hell have I gotten myself into?" Ren thought to himself.

"Uhm, not the time you two..." Tyler said on the comms.

"God if Scarlet heard that we'd have a friendly fire issue..." Tyler thought to himself.

However, they weren't the only ones hearing this...

"What did she just say?" Lily said with some anger in her voice, but she quickly shook her head and thought to herself "Now is not the time for that....later though."

Ren and Tyler began engaging Theta's forces as best they could from the side, giving some relief to the frontal assault.

"Fireteam Theta Member Luana Cortes Eliminated

Fireteam Epsilon Member Kian Reid Eliminated

Fireteam Theta Member Annie Gillies Eliminated"

The announcer continued to list the names of the losses suffered on both sides. Epsilon continued to pressure the Theta members who were left; however, Theta weren't going down without a fight.

It was then suddenly everyone heard on the announcer.

"Fireteam Epsilon Member Tyler Lawson Eliminated"

Ren didn't even see what happened to Tyler, who was right next to him before being eliminated.

"Fireteam Epsilon Member Jake Reilly Eliminated

Fireteam Epsilon Member Grace Burton Eliminated

Fireteam Epsilon Member Raina Spencer Eliminated"

The announcer brought out more names; four units were lost in such a quick manner that no one noticed.

"Shit, they have a sniper!" Ren yelled out on his comms.

"Yeah, that is more than likely Hayashida Rin; he's a damn good shot, and it seems he has been hiding quietly for the battle until now." Lena said on the comms.

"Dammit, Lily, do you have eyes on him?" Ren asked on comms.

"Negative." Lily responded.

"Alright, let me think and just hide out of sight until I can come up with something." Ren said on comms.

"Let's see, the units we have left are Captain Eleonora, Scarlet, myself, Serenity, Lily, and Sakura. How can we both draw out this sniper and have enough people to press for an attack? Ren thought to himself.

"Okay, rough idea; let me connect to Eleonora and Scarlet." Ren said before he connected all the channels.

"Okay, listen up; I have an idea. It's either genius or foolhardy; who's in?"

*On Fireteam Theta's side of things*

"Okay, we've turned things around; now let's see what they do." Rachel said in her sentinel.

However, to answer her question, explosions started happening all around her. She saw missiles firing at her location and even hitting one of her teammates.

"Fireteam Theta Member Khyree Tate Eliminated."

"Fuck, they still had missiles!" Rachel yelled out.

Then machine gun fire continued on both of her flanks.

"Just what in the hell is going on?"

*Back to Fireteam Epsilon*

"Good shot, Serenity; now Scarlett come with me!" Ren said on comms.

"No problem, Ren, you can thank me later~" Serenity said sensually.

"Not the time, Serenity." Ren thought to himself.

The two kept firing on the sides of Fireteam Theta's remaining three members.

It was then that Lily spotted some movement by the asteroids near where the fighting was happening.

"Got you..."

*BANG*

"Fireteam Theta member Hayashida Rin Eliminated"

"It's just two of them now!" Lena yelled on the comms.

"Everyone push the attack!" Eleonora ordered.

After a lot of fire, two messages were said on the speakers.

"Fireteam Theta member Paige Taylor Eliminated

Fireteam Theta member Rachel Murphy Eliminated

Simulation winner: Fireteam Epsilon."

Everyone left in the simulation was ejected from it and went back to hanger. Fireteam Epsilon members were cheering all around after their last-minute win on that strategy from Ren. 

As Ren got down from his sentinel, the members of Team Epsilon were surrounding him, cheering him on. Even Eleonora was there to congratulate him.

"Thank you, Ren! Your plan saved our asses. I thought we were done when the sniper showed up, but that last-minute plan saved us."

Ren smiled and said "Chaos sometimes is the best strategy; mass confusion caused them to become flustered; it was thanks to everyone."

"So what's the plan now? Wait until the operation?" Tyler asked.

"Yes, and your own personal training; some of you went down too quick in that mock battle; only those who stayed alive get time off; the rest of you, I want in more simulation battles." Eleonora said.

"Yes, ma'am..." all the fireteam Epsilon members who got eliminated said in depressed unison.

*In Rens room*

Ren was alone in his room since Scarlet and Lily went to the cafeteria to eat. Everyone was tired after that mock battle, and Ren just wanted to rest, so he decided to take a nap.

However, he woke up to quite a surprise. 

Ren went to sleep alone, but when he woke up, there was a girl with long pink hair sleeping next to him.

"Serenity! what the fuck is going on here?!"  Ren thought to himself.

Serenity was lying next to him, and while she was not entirely in the nude, she had a black bra, and Ren hoped she was wearing matching underwear, but he was respectful enough not to look.

Ren quickly got out of bed and woke Serenity up by doing it.

"Good Morning~" Serenity said sensually.

"Gotta give her credit; she knows what she's doing."  Ren thought to himself.

"What are you doing here, Serenity? Ren asked in a panic.

"Oh, I just saw the door cracked open and let myself in just to see you asleep. So I decided to take a nap myself!" Serenity said.

"So you broke in and decided to sleep next to me. Okay, let's say I understand that, but why are you in your underwear?" Ren asked.

"Because I can't sleep with clothes on, out of respect, I made sure to keep my underwear on. Why do you want them off?" Serenity asked.

Ren's face blushed at her teasing. "Yes..no..definitely...not focus! Ignore her hot body...dammit that's impossible." He thought to himself.

He was a guy after all, and Serenity was a succubus of temptation with that body of hers.

"So do you come into every guy's room to cuddle when you feel like it?" Ren asked.

"Of course not, only for the one who has captured my heart." Serenity said.

"When did I 'capture her heart'? We just met!" Ren thought to himself.

"You don't remember me, I'm guessing? That's fine and not that unexpected. We met about six months ago now, during the school competition between your and my academies." Serenity explained.

"You mean during the New York Academy versus the Miami Academy scrimmage?" Ren asked.

"Exactly, we met there, although I looked a bit different." Serenity explained. "Here! I still have a picture of myself from then."

Serenity handed Ren a picture; it was of a younger Serenity, except she had shorter pink hair and wore a pair of glasses, standing next to a younger Ren.

"Wait...that was you?" Ren asked Serenity.

"Yup, and it was after we met back then that I decided that I wanted to be with you, and after I heard you went on board the Eternity, I made sure I would come here too." Serenity said.

"So...she's a stalker." Ren thought to himself.

"That still doesn't explain you coming in here and sleeping next to me." Ren said.

"Well...yeah there's no real explanation other than I just wanted to." Serenity said laughing.

It was then that death itself knocked on the door.

*Knock Knock Knock*

"Ren, are you awake?" Scarlet said knocking on the door. She wanted to make sure it was okay for her to come inside, just in case Ren was changing or something.

"Uhm, give me a minute, Scarlet!" Ren bumbled his words.

He then turned to Serenity and whispered "Hide in the bathroom!"

Serenity did as he said and walked into the bathroom, but not before sending Ren a wink.

"I've got a bad feeling." Ren thought to himself.

Once Ren made sure it was okay for Scarlet to come in, he said "You can come in, Scarlet."

Scarlet went through the door and asked Ren "Hey Ren, did you get a good nap in?"

Scarlet, however, noticed something.

"Hey Ren?" Scarlet asked while clenching her firsts.

"Yeah Scarlet?" Ren responded, noticing her fists clenching.

"Is that a skirt under your bed?"

And just like Ren was speechless, the cruel gods of the world didn't have mercy for him. He turned his head and saw the skirt that goes with the female uniform slightly showing out from under his bed.

The bathroom door opened, which revealed a beautiful girl wearing her black underwear.

"Well, that was something, now wasn't it, Ren...."

And with Serenity making her appearance, Ren only had one thought.

"Im fucked."
