Chapter Sixteen: Destined Meeting

Princess Lucilia was walking from her quarters on the ship with the idea to check the infirmary. The smile on her face made everyone on the ship that saw her feel uneasy; after all, they had never seen her smile quite like this before. The only times they saw her make a face that even remotely resembled a smile was when she forced smiled when talking to family, but now this was something else; she was genuinely happy and seemingly excited...but for what?

*5 minutes earlier*

Lucilia had just gotten out of the shower and begun changing into her military uniform. Her uniform was different from that of other officers due to her being royalty. Instead of a jacket, which most military officers wore, she typically wore a dress while at the bridge. The dress was a long red dress made with the finest fabrics from their homeworld in the Alpha Centauri System. The dress also had black designs on the bottom of the skirt.

After she finished changing, she received a call from her room speakers.

"Ma'am?' The person on the speaker spoke.

Lucilia looked up and answered "Yes?"

"Our uhm 'guest' is awake, and he's combative; the guards had to tie him to his bed, but it wasn't before he knocked two of them out." The person on the speaker said.

This made a smile naturally appear on Lucilia's face; she had been waiting to hear that news for days.

"Tell the guards I'm coming down." Lucilia said in a cheerful voice.

"Yes, my princess."

*10 minutes ago in the infirmary*

Ren's eyes slowly started to open, but he had trouble opening them due to a bright light in the room. He felt his head pounding like he had a migraine. He slowly sat up, rubbed his eyes with his hands, and just managed to open them.

He was in a room with white walls all around him. He continued to look around and saw he was on one bed in a row of about six of them, and he also noticed the machines all around him, including one right next to him that had wires leading onto his body. Ren looked down and saw he was shirtless and had wires connected to his chest—not too different from what he experienced on Earth when doctors checked his heart rate.

"What happened? Ren thought to himself. He remembered the battle, and he remembered being inside a lifeless sentinel before mysteriously passing out, and now he was in this mysterious room.

He ripped the wires off, making him wince in pain for a second, but the machine wouldn't stop beeping afterwards.

Two men ran inside the room, armed with what looked like batons, and stared at Ren. Their eyes are both colors that you wouldn't typically see on Earth. One guard's eyes were a bright yellow, and the other guard's eyes were a bright shade of Lapis blue.

The two guards looked at each other and then finally spoke.

"Igza hin minat?" (Is he awake?)

"Sa ceta heira Lucilia se nesa knost" (Yes, call Princess Lucilia, she needs to know)

Ren looked at the two guards and said "What are you two saying?"

One of the guards turned away and started to speak into what looked like a communication device in his ear, while the other continued to speak to Ren.

"Relan, heira Lucilia wilan tesani."  (Relax, Princess Lucilia will explain.)

"Yeah, I don't get what you're saying, but I'm not sticking around to find out." Ren said before getting up from his bed and charging at the guard.

"Wana yu dona-"  (Wait you don't-)

Ren knocked the first guard out and applied a punch to the throw, causing him to struggle to breathe and forcing his head down, face first, into Ren's kneecap. Ren charged at the second guard and immediately used any man's weakness against him—a swift kick to the family jewels. The guard cried out in pain, but not before Ren delivered a punch with his right hand to the face of the guard, knocking him down but still conscious. Ren realized he was still moving and decided to kick the guard in the face, immediately putting him to sleep.

"I need to get out of here." Ren said out loud. He didn't know where he was, but without a doubt, he was behind enemy lines; after all, nobody on Earth spoke that language, and nobody had those bright eye colors. He had seen blue eyes before but never that type of shade, and yellow eyes were brand new to him; after all, nobody on Earth had those colored eyes.

Ren didn't even have time to unpack his mind about the situation before five more guards charged in and immediately grabbed Ren. Ren tried to fight back and even got a good punch in, but it did cause him to get hit in the face by one of those batons the guards carry, causing a bruise to appear on his cheek.

The guards placed restraints on Ren's arms and legs so he could no longer move freely.

He was forced to lay in that bed for minutes as the guards started to treat the ones Ren knocked out. He couldn't do anything but think, since he didn't understand a word any of the guards were saying.

"Okay, time to unpack my mind a little bit, so after the battle I got captured and at some point passed out. Maybe from a lack of oxygen? But I thought I did pretty well managing my breathing. It could've been that I miscalculated, but that's not important right now. I'm behind enemy lines, and these guards are obviously not from Earth, and I feel like I'm on a spaceship, so more than likely I'm on a Centauri Empire vessel. Which means I'm either the first person to see what the Centauri people look like...or the only one who has and is still alive. That's a later problem, but I can't understand their language; it's like nothing I've heard on Earth. This is going to be complicated."

While thinking, the door to the room opened once again, but instead of guards, this time it was a woman.

"Wow..." was all Ren could think.

She was around Ren's age but shorter than him; she had long brown hair that reached the center of her back along with her bright red eyes; her body was beautifully shaped as well; Ren guessed her chest was either a big C cup or a lower D; her curves were perfect; and even though Ren couldn't see them, he had to guess she had beautifully shaped thighs.

*Lucilia Perspective*

As soon as she walked into the room, she had a big smile on her face until she saw the person she had captured tied up to the bed with a noticeable bruise on his cheek.

Her face twisted in anger seeing the state of Ren's face; after all, he was *her* prisoner, and someone just hurt him. The anger she felt was immeasurable.

"Who caused my prisoner harm?" She asked the guards who were standing in the room.

The guards looked at each other until one of them stepped up.

"It was me, princess; he was combative, and I had to find a way to subdue him."

Lucilia looked at the guard as she clenched her fists in anger "I did not order you to harm him; in fact, I explicitly ordered you to make sure no harm would come to him. You guards take your former compatriot to the holding cells."

The now-former guard's eyes widened after hearing Lucilia's proclamation.

"Princess, no...please no. I'm sorry. Please forgive me." Lucilia said.

"Forgiveness is something you should only ask the gods, because you won't get any from me." Lucilia said coldly to the now-guard, who was now destined to meet a horrible fate; after all, one does not piss off royalty.

Her tone was so cold that even Ren, who had no clue what was going on, felt uneasy.

The guards dragged the former guard away, leaving only one guard behind with Princess Lucilia.

"Now, my prisoner, what is your name?" Lucilia asked

"Look, I don't understand what it is you're saying." Ren said trying to let them know he didn't understand a word they were saying.

"Oh! My mistake, I forgot to activate the device." Lucilia said

Lucilia brought a holographic tablet and pressed something resembling a big red button, which scared Ren because he's aware that typically big red buttons don't mean anything good.

After she pressed it, Ren felt a little shock in his neck, and suddenly his migraine started to hurt him more, but the pain quickly dissipated afterwards.

* Ren's perspective?

"Now do you understand me?" The woman asked with a smile.

"You can speak English?" Ren asked.

"Oh my prisoner, we have much to discuss with you and me." Lucilia responded with a beautiful smile on her face.

Ren looked at the smiling princess, as he was now both relieved and worried. He could now understand everything the Centauri people were saying, but...

"How can they understand me?"
