Chapter Seventy-Six: Tsukiko's Party

After a few days of staying over at Tsukiko's place, she decided to hold a giant celebration for the return of her daughters Rei and Rin and, of course, invited Ren, Lucilia, and all of her crew to it as well. Which made the others very excited as they were allowed free pickings for dresses while Ren and Tyler were left to pick out suits for themselves.

Ren grabbed a black suit with a blue tie, while Tyler grabbed himself a navy blue suit and a bow tie.

"A bow tie?" Ren asked his friend.

"Hey, bow ties are cool." Tyler said with a laugh.

Ren laughed in kind "Whatever you say, man." Ren then realized he had to ask his friend a question "So... I've noticed you and Sakura hanging out a lot."

Tyler immediately got embarrassed hearing, "I don't need to hear that from Mr. Harem King."

Ren laughed "Do you like her?" he asked, genuinely curious.

Tyler nodded his head in silence.

"Dude, you don't have to be embarrassed; she's cute, and from what you told me, she's exactly your type." Ren said.

"Still, I never really liked a girl this much...she just makes me really happy. I've dated before, but just hanging out with her feels different..." Tyler said.

That's when Ren nodded to himself, walked over to his friend, and said "Then this is the perfect opportunity for you."

Tyler was confused "What do you mean?"

"Simple, it's a party, meaning there's going to be music, which means there's dancing. Ask her to dance, man. That way, you two share an intimate moment just between you, and you can ask her out officially and see where it goes from there." Ren said.

"But what if she doesn't feel that way?" Tyler asked.

"Then it just wasn't meant to be, but dude, there is literally an infinite amount of possibilities in the galaxy if she says no—her loss and someone else's gain. But truthfully, I don't think she'll say no to you." Ren said giving his friend advice.

"You don't?" Tyler asked.

"She doesn't hang out with really any guys; me and her barely even talk outside of missions, and there's literally no other guy on Lucilia's ship. She spends without a doubt the most time with you, so why not give it a shot man?" Ren said.

Tyler nodded his head in confidence "I will; I'll ask her. Thanks Ren."

The two of them, now all dressed up, walked outside and waited for the girls to come downstairs.

The first to come down was Lucilia, who was dressed in a long red dress that glimmered as she walked downstairs. She looked downright beautiful as the dress fit her body perfectly, and even Tyler's jaw dropped at the sight.

"Tyler...pick up your jaw." Ren said with a slightly passive aggressive tone.

"Jaw picking back up." Tyler said before thinking "He's getting that possessive attitude like Lucilia, isn't he?"

"You look absolutely beautiful, Lucilia..." Ren said, looking at his future wife.

"Why thank you, Ren?" Lucilia said before kissing Ren.

Tyler, seeing this, only had one thought "How is Ren this lucky..."

Then two more people came down. "It was Lily and Scarlet. Lily was wearing a white dress with light blue designs, and it fit her cute look, which made her all the more attractive. Scarlet also came down wearing a red dress similar to Lucilia's, but her dress wasn't as tight to her body as Lucilia's.

Tyler once again looked over at Ren "You lucky bastard..." he thought to himself.

Next, another pair came down. Eleonora, who was wearing a beautiful black dress that stuck to her body, which, after seeing it, would make any man bow down, and then Serenity, who came down in a similar white dress that perfectly contrasted Eleonora's black dress.

Then came down the Versaerth trio of Ashastha, who was wearing a long golden dress that seemed custom-made in order to fit her...assets inside. Sthora came down wearing another custom-made black dress, with part of the upper part of it being white, in order to accommodate her wings. Then there was Laelli, who came down wearing a beautiful purple dress with black designs around it. Then came the final trio: Sakura, who was wearing a dark blue dress that fit her petite body perfectly, and then came Ivy, who was wearing a long black dress that made sure her assests were noticed by everyone; she even looked at Ren and winked at him, hinting at their previous conversation, and Ren couldn't deny, she looked sexy as hell in that dress. And finally, it was Mae who came down wearing a very business-esqe white dress, like the type you see at company cocktail parties. Even Ren had to admit, she looked very beautiful. But Ren, seeing Tyler's reaction to Sakura, knew he had to do something.

"There's your girl." Ren said, bumping Tyler with his elbow.

"She's...beautiful..." Tyler said shocked by her beauty.

"Give her a compliment, dumbass!" Ren said to his friend.

"R-Right!" Tyler said before walking up to Sakura. Ren could see Tyler saying what he wanted to say by the blush on Sakura's face. "Good job, Tyler."

The entire group, after exchanging compliments, headed to the main room, where they were greeted with rounds of applause by the guests around them, most of them the same species as Rin and Rei. But there were also a few other combinations that surprised Ren: "Nekos? Doggirls? Wolfgirls? Bunnygirls? and even raccoon girls? God, this place would make a weeb have a stroke..."

It turns out that Tsukiko's empire was made of people with animal characteristics. So there were people with ears and tails like those of animals. Eleonora and Ren, who were both big-time anime watchers, looked at each other and cracked a smile because, while they knew aliens existed, they didn't expect literally tons of anime character trends. Especially the racoon girls, which reminded Ren of that one Shield Hero anime he liked.

"This place is insane." Lily said, bringing Ren back to reality.

Ren, who stopped looking at the guests and instead looked at the room, noticed the sheer size of this room was like the ballroom of an imperial palace. Crystal chandeliers, music being played on instruments Ren didn't even recognize, but the sound of it reminded him of classical music, not to mention the giant staircase located at the center of the room leading to two upper-floor hallways along with three thrones, one bigger than the other two located right at the far side of the room.

"It must be where Tsukiko and the twins sit." Ren thought to himself.

"So what do we do now?" Scarlet asked the group.

"Socialize, I guess...but since I doubt we're all comfortable splitting, let's stay in groups as much as possible." Eleonora suggested to the group.

"Makes sense to me." Serenity commentated.

That's when everyone broke into groups but all sat around each other, giving them both the comfort of having everyone around but also appearing sociable to the other guests of the party. The entire group sat at a section of tables and were greeted by some of the guests. The guests introduced themselves as higher-ups of certain organizations inside of Tsukiko's Empire and even generals, but one thing to note was that there were a few men who tried to make a move on the girls, but that was shut down immediately by not only the girls but Ren, and while this looked like a man protecting his girls, that attracted some...attention.

"Hello! My name is Miya, and this is Kali and Shera." A girl with dog characteristics introduced herself. The girl had brown dog ears on top of her head, along with brown hair and light blue eyes. She was smaller than Ren by nearly half a foot, but that didn't make her any less attractive. She also seemed a bit more clumsy compared to the other two girls next to her.

Kali, the girl next to her she introduced, was a wolf girl with dark skin and dark black hair, but what was noticeable was her bright yellow eyes, which immediately got Ren's attention. She had a more cold beauty appearance to her than Miya and the other girl, but she seemed involved in the conversation nonetheless.

And finally was Shera, a rabbit girl with white hair and big white bunny ears on the top of her head. She seemed more energetic than the other two girls, and she had bright blue eyes. She seemed closer to the airheaded type, but she was also very beautiful."

"Uhm, it's nice to meet the three of you. I'm Ren." Ren introduced himself.

The three looked at each other and nodded. "You're the hero who saved the twin princesses, right?" Miya asked Ren.

"H-Hero? What are you talking about? I have never called myself that." Ren said, looking at the three while being confused.

"Oh! The twins gave you that title!" Shera said bluntly.

This shocked Ren. "They did what?"

"Yeah, you, along with some of the others, have been named heroes, but you, Ren, are the most famous; they told everyone how you laid down your life for them and were nearly killed because of it!" Miya explained everything.

"You sounded so cool!" Shera said while being excited.

"So, is it true?" Kali asked coldly but was also interested.

"I mean, to a certain extent, yes, but I'm not the only hero; every single member of our crew was a hero that day." Ren said being honest.

"He's so modest!" Shera said that before committing maybe the gravest mistake she had ever made, she grabbed Ren's hand in front of the girls.

That's when another hand grabbed Shera's wrist, and Ren knew immediately who it was.

"What do you think you're doing?" Lucilia said in an angry tone.

Ren had expected this to happen, but then something unexpected happened. He was suddenly swarmed by the girls; Ashastha, Scarlet, Lily, Serenity, and even Eleonora and Sthora were now right next to him, and some were even holding his arms, causing nearly every male in the building to burn with jealousy.

"Of course this would happen..." Ren thought to himself.

But suddenly cutting this tension was the sound of a different musical song and the lights in the room dimming with two girls in dresses laying down flower petals on the staircase, followed by Tsukiko and her daughters, and all Ren could say was

"How gorgeous."
