BEGINNING~
Tear looks down at herself after yelling. She sees chains around her wrists. She decides to yell at the driver of the carriage.
"Hey, you! Bastard, what are you thinking of doing with me?" Tear growls.
The driver remains silent.
"Argh! I won't let you get away with this!" Tear tries to shake herself out of the chains.
With no success of course she gives up.
(Tear's Thoughts)
"I can't let it end like this, I was gonna be a great person, not a slave..."
-end of thoughts-
Tear begins feeling tired as some strange gas fills the carriage.
She awakes to be carried over the should of some rough-looking man.
"Hey! Let me go! Let me go!" Tear struggles.
It looks as if she has arrived at some castle. Not just anyone's castle, The Flower Kings Castle. Shaped like a bouquet and painted glass on every window, the Flower Kings Castle is hard to be mistaken.
"At least answer me, come on, can you tell me why I'm here at least?" Tears' question is met with silence.
"I'm tired of all this silence!!!" Tear feels extensively agitated.
Finally, the man finishes carrying Tear down endless halls. They reach a large room that seems to be the courtroom.
"We have brought what you asked your majesty." The rough-looking man announces as he kneels putting Tear in front of him.
"Great work, you are dismissed." The King declares.
The rough man leaves the room.
Shackles on both arms and legs Tear finds it difficult to think of ways to run. So instead she decides to ask "His Majesty" why she's here.
"Are you the king of our kingdom?" Tear inquiries.
"Yes, I am." The King responds.
"Then why did you kidnap me?" Tear asks holding back anger.
"I did no such thing, this is merely a visit." The King voices.
"If I had gone to visit you of choice it would not have been like this surely!" Tear yells.
"Well, that I suppose is true." The King mumbles.
"I guess I should tell you why I brought you here." Says the King.
"Finally, somebody is gonna tell me something." Tear looks pleased.
"I am the King of the Flower Kingdom, I rule all here, under the name Edric Leon Gardenia. For generations, someone powerful has ruled from my family. I have brought you here because I believe you may be related to my family. You may be a bit confused but your mother, Jess, real name, Jessica used to be a princess. That is, until her disappearance. Later we found her along with you and your sister. I suspect she eloped off with that man and chose to hide in a large city as a commoner." The King shakes his head disappointed.
Tear looks down, "There is no way that I would ever be a princess! I refuse to believe this, and even if I were I refuse to live in such a way!"
"Oh, so that is your decision?" The King says lightly.
"Then you shall spend some time in the dungeon to think about what you're saying!" The King suddenly bursts.
"Guards! Drag her to the dungeon!" The King yells.
"Ahh wait no!" Tear cries.
The guards don't stop, they continue towards her. Tear looks at the shackles on herself and gives up resistance. The guards take her to the dungeon and throw her in a cold and damp cell. The dungeon is freezing and seems to be empty as Tear looks around. There seems to be nothing to sleep on other than a stack of hay in the corner.
"Why is there nothing but hay to sleep on? Ahh, I guess it's not like I haven't slept on hay before it just itches in the morning." Tear mumbles.
"If mom saw me now I wonder what she would say. I miss everybody. Mom, Dad, Bell, Daisy, I miss you all!" Tear starts crying.
"Hey stop crying, you're ruining my mood, not that it wasn't bad enough already." A male voice is heard.
"Huh? Whos there?" Tear asks scaredly.
"Just a very tired, grumpy demon." Says the voice.
"Demon? Are you here to eat me?" Tear says frightened.
"HAHAHAHHAAHA! How could I?" The voice laughs.
The voice gets closer, "When I'm locked up like this."
A long-haired boy looking about the same age as Tear appears in the cell across from her. His hair is straight and black, his eyes are golden, and he has a tattoo covering one the whole of his left arm. The tattoo seems to be of a dragon.
"Just what are you?" Tear backs up.
"You don't listen to well, I said I am a demon. But not just any kind of demon, I am the demon prince." The boy says.
"Demon prince? Do the demons have a monarchy? I just figured that your kind just ran wild in forests and ate people." Tear says with a nervous expression.
The boy gives Tear a dumbfounded look.
"Are you kidding me? Again with eating people stuff, who told you that?"The boy asks angrily.
"My father, he said that if I ever come across a demon I should run because it'll try to eat me. But seeing that you are in the same situation as I am I don't see a problem with just talking to you." Says Tear.
"Hmph, that's rude the aristocrats of the demon society ." The boy turns his head in disapproval.
"But what do I care? I'm stuck here anyway..." The boy suddenly looks gloomy.
"How long have you been stuck here?" Asks Tear.
"Ever since I was six, so I think ten years?"The boy says unsurely.
"Ten years that's horrible! But does that mean your sixteen now? Hasn't anyone from your family tried to save you?" Tear looks worried.
"If they wanted to save me you think I would still be here?!" The boy's tone rises.
"I'm sorry I didn't think about that..." Tear apologizes.
The dungeon is quiet for a few minutes...
"Hey, I got an idea! You know, to get us out of here?"Tear says with a smile.
"I'm listening." Says the boy.
"Okay but, mind telling me your name first? My name is Tear by the way." Tear asks
"Why do you need to know that?' The boy asks in return.
"Well, I need something to call you." Tear replies.
"Fine, my name is Hakkan." Says Hakkan.
"So what's the plan?" asks Hakkan
"Oh don't worry, okay? So first you see that guard by the exit? We are gonna need to distract him somehow. I think I can handle that. Then when he's distracted you are gonna grab his keys, okay? Tear peeks at guard.
"That sounds good, it's something I could never pull before. I think these halls are narrow enough so that we could pull this off." Hakkan smiles.
Meanwhile in the courtroom;
"What do you mean you put her across from the demon boy!?" The King says angrily.
"I'm sorry your highness, this is due to my incapability as your servant." The Knight bows his head lower.
"Hmmm.... considering that thing is a demon I suppose it wouldn't be horrible for them to be across from each other. Actually, this is great! Ahahaha, I'm sure that girl will come to her senses even quicker!" The King laughs.
"You may be dismissed now." The king gestures for the knight to leave.
"Oh and you there report now, how are Jessica and that man taking this situation?"The King asks a suspicious man cloaked in black.
The man steps forward and kneels.
"Yes, your highness, it is found that the parents of the girl are in a panic and have sent numerous search parties out for her. They have gone to the girl's friend in hopes that she was there still but, unfortunately, found she wasn't there." The suspicious man reports.
"That is all good then, you may leave." The King smiles as the man exits the room.
The King gazes at the courtroom happily as everything seems to be going his way.
"Your Highness! Your Highness!" A servant rushes into the courtroom suddenly.
"What is so important right now that you come in screaming?!" The King says suddenly angry.
"The girl and the demon boy, they-they have escaped from the dungeon, your highness...." The servant says panicked.
"THEY HAVE WHAT?!" The yells the King.
