A World Unwritten

Stuck in the worst dream possible – the reality of my own creation. Here I am, not the all-powerful author, but an unsuspecting character, woken up in a beggar's body in the world of my own novel. How? Why? I don't know, but what I do know is that I need to survive. My memories of the story's plot are sketchy at best, but I remember enough to know I've got to stick to the main storyline. Life-or-death decisions, cryptic mysteries, formidable enemies, I wrote them all. Now I must face them firsthand. The irony would be delicious if it weren't so deadly. Am I stuck in my worst nightmare or have I been given a chance to rewrite my destiny? Only time will tell. Until then, I’ve got to survive in this Insane world, a plot to follow, and one hell of a story to write... by living it.

The competition concludes

Biana glares down at Oliver, who is now bleeding profusely. "What was that?" she asks, her tone icy and unyielding. Oliver, coughing up blood, concedes with a weak voice, "You win, you win."

Meanwhile, Rami, still pinned under Biana's foot, struggles futilely to free herself. But Biana presses down harder, showing no sign of relenting. Suddenly, Biana's stomach growls, breaking her cold demeanor. She turns to Oliver and begins to speak in a commanding tone, "Listen here, you little shit—"

However, her reproach is cut short as she notices V approaching. Instantly, her demeanor shifts. Dropping Oliver, she saunters over to V in her typical lazy fashion. "Carry me, V~ They ripped my blanket, and look at my pajamas~," she whines, a stark contrast to her previous ferocity.

Expecting V to catch her, she lets herself fall backward. V, however, steps aside, allowing Biana to unceremoniously fall to the ground. Rubbing his temples in frustration, he looks at the scene before him. 'She straight up beat him near death... Oliver, what the hell were you thinking?' he thinks, bewildered by the chaos.

Lysandra, seizing the opportunity, sits on Biana and smirks triumphantly as she takes the crowns off Biana's head and places them on her own. Biana protests loudly, "Hey, those are mine! Give them back!" But her efforts to move are in vain, and she eventually gives up, lying defeated on the ground.

V, meanwhile, approaches Rami, who is still struggling to extract herself. Without hesitation, he stabs her, causing her to be teleported out of the competition.

Sighing, I'm just about to relish the thought of it being over when suddenly, I'm unceremoniously flattened to the ground. Someone's landed on top of me. Who now? I twist my head and see Isadora, blank-faced as ever. Oh, it's her. Predictable as always. I rummage through my bag and hand her a fresh coconut, but she doesn't budge, still perched on me while sipping her drink. What's with her today? She's not usually this clingy. I'm too exhausted to puzzle it out, so I just stand up, hoisting her onto my shoulder.

The rest of the class starts jumping down from their positions. Arin rushes to Oliver, whose face is a mess. "Oh my god, what happened to your face..." he exclaims, clearly shocked. Rai can't help but grin as he surveys Oliver's battered appearance. "Damn dude, you look like shit," he comments, not one to mince words.

I plonk myself down by a rock, stifling a yawn. Any moment now... any moment, and we'll be whisked away from this madness.

True to my expectation, a familiar voice soon booms over the field, announcing the end of the competition. It's that professor again, his voice echoing around us, vibrant and commanding.

"Ladies and gentlemen, competitors and spectators, the intense and thrilling battle royale has come to a conclusive end!" His voice carries across the field, filled with the same energy as before. "Today, we have witnessed remarkable displays of skill, strategy, and camaraderie. And now, it is my distinct honor to announce the victors of this grand event."

As we're all teleported out, I can't help but groan inwardly. Here comes the most annoying part of it all. We find ourselves on a stage, facing a sea of spectators. It's a relief, at least, that I managed to lead Class A to victory. Having Isadora as the king made things unsurprisingly straightforward.

The sky has darkened, and the professor takes the spotlight, literally and figuratively. His presence is commanding, and his voice booms through the arena. "What a fantastic game!" he exclaims, his face beaming with excitement as he addresses the crowd. "This game was one of a kind, a true spectacle. Not only did the students end the game way ahead of schedule, but they also demonstrated incredible feats!"

With a dramatic snap of his fingers, a firework rockets into the sky. It explodes with a flourish, revealing a massive screen. The crowd's excitement is palpable, their cheers and claps echoing around us.

"Now, now, now. Settle down, everyone. It's time for our favorite part!" the professor declares, his voice rich with enthusiasm. He gracefully floats on a platform, moving closer to the screen, his every movement theatrical and designed to captivate the audience.

"Let's see who our dear professors have chosen," he says, his voice filled with intrigue. The screen flickers to life, displaying a list of names: 1. Isadora, 2. Azura, 3. Oliver, 4. Suzu, 5. Zephyr, 6. Orion. and 7. Thalia. The professor's smile widens, adding to the suspense. "Looks like our dear judges have chosen an interesting list. Now let's roll the tape!" he says, his tone brimming with excitement.

The professor has a knack for hyping up the crowd, his every word and gesture adding to the drama and anticipation. He moves with a flourish, pointing to the screen, his eyes twinkling with delight as he basks in the energy of the moment.

The massive screen lights up with a scene that captivates everyone: Isadora and Azura engaged in a fierce battle atop the lake. Their movements are so swift and precise that they appear to dance on the water's surface, not disturbing it in the slightest. Isadora's sword clashes against Azura's martial arts prowess in a display of sheer skill and agility.

"What an incredible fight between these two students," the professor exclaims, his voice echoing with admiration. "Isadora with her perfect swordsmanship and Azura with her incredible movement! And remember, folks, this is slowed down so everyone can appreciate the intricacies of their duel." He winks at the crowd, who are visibly enthralled by the spectacle.

However, a small commotion draws my attention. The professor has mistakenly referred to Azura as 'her', a misstep that doesn't go unnoticed. I glance towards Azura and his class, standing not too far from us on the stage. Azura's annoyance is palpable, but luckily, Knox and Quinn are there, restraining him and preventing any rash actions. Their efforts to hold him back are just enough to keep the situation under control. From the looks of it, no one else seems to catch on to how infuriated Azura is.

As the first clip fades from the screen, the professor's enthusiasm doesn't wane. He gestures excitedly to the massive screen, ready to introduce the next highlight of the competition. "And now, brace yourselves for another spectacular display of skill and strategy!" he announces, his voice filled with dramatic flair.

The screen flickers to life again, showcasing Isadora locked in combat with Zephyr. The scene is nothing short of breathtaking: Zephyr, surrounded by her teammates, conjures a massive fire pillar that descends upon Isadora with ferocious intensity. But Isadora, unfazed, showcases her remarkable aura mastery by slicing the fire pillar in half, leaving a visible, large cut on the lake's surface. The crowd gasps and cheers, completely absorbed in the action.

"What we are witnessing here is sheer mastery!" the professor exclaims, his voice booming with excitement. "Zephyr's incredible fire magic combined with her team's flawless execution, and Isadora's unbelievable response! This is what true magic and aura mastery looks like, folks!"

He chuckles, adding, "Can you believe this? The precision, the power! I'm telling you, this competition has never seen anything like it!"

The scene shifts to Orion, whose team's incredible strategy unfolds on the screen. They emerge from nowhere, attacking an exhausted Isadora. Orion's sword clashes with Isadora's in a series of rapid exchanges. The professor points out Orion's constant vigilance, always protecting his teammates even while engaging in fierce combat. "Observe Orion's strategic mind at work, always two steps ahead, ensuring the safety of his team while battling the best!"

The crowd responds with loud cheers, clearly impressed by the tactical prowess displayed.

"And once again, it's her—Isadora!" the professor says, half-jokingly, his eyes twinkling. "Truly the best student of this generation!" The screen now shows Isadora taking on not one, not two, but three classes simultaneously. Her battle senses and agility are extraordinary, navigating through a relentless onslaught from all sides.

The professor's voice rises above the crowd's awe. "Look at this! Isadora, single-handedly taking on multiple opponents, her awareness and combat skills are off the charts! This is the kind of talent that comes once in a generation!"

I watch, slightly amused by the professor's flair for the dramatic. He's really good at this, hyping up the crowd, making every moment on that screen seem larger than life. It's almost like watching a blockbuster movie with his narration.

The professor's voice remains vibrant as he calms the crowd, ready to introduce the next standout participant. "Now, now folks, don't get too worked up. Thalia indeed earned her spot in this list," he says, his tone persuasive and commanding.

The massive screen displays a scene where countless monsters burst forth from the forest, launching an unexpected assault on most of Class A. The professor elaborates, "Thalia's brilliant plan involved using an artifact to direct all surrounding beasts to attack the nearest class. This ingenious strategy kept Class A preoccupied for a significant part of the day, leaving their king vulnerable to attacks from all sides."

He continues, his voice filled with admiration. "Due to her magnificent foresight and strategic planning, Thalia almost single-handedly turned the tide of the competition, nearly causing Class A to lose. What a testament to the power of a well-thought-out plan!"

The focus then shifts to Suzu. The professor describes her strategic acumen, which led her to almost instantly subdue two classes within minutes. "Suzu's ingenuity was remarkable," he praises. "Her plan might have been the game-changer if not for Oliver's intervention."

The screen goes blank, and the professor's tone becomes slightly subdued. "Unfortunately, we can't show you what happened next. I'm sure you all understand why," he says, attempting to maintain his enthusiastic demeanor. The audience falls silent, a collective understanding of the suffering Oliver caused with his potions lingering in the air.

Clearing his throat, the professor regains his composure. "It's thanks to Oliver that everything ultimately ended in Class A's favor," he says, trying to steer the mood back to a more positive note. "His actions, while... controversial, played a crucial role in securing victory for his class."

The crowd responds with a mix of reactions. Some nod in agreement, recognizing the importance of Oliver's contributions, while others seem less enthusiastic, likely remembering the chaos and discomfort his potions caused.

The professor's energy remains infectious as he prepares to announce the prizes for the top three winners. He snaps his fingers, and a spectacular show of colored lights, resembling a ballet of fighting hues, fills the arena. The crowd watches in awe, their excitement mounting for the grand reveal.

"For our first place winner, Isadora," he announces, as the platform lifts, carrying Isadora up alone. True to her nature, she remains expressionless, still sipping her coconut nonchalantly. The professor holds out a unique uniform. "This is a special uniform created by Lady Lilith herself. Though she couldn't be here, she left this for the first-place winner!" he exclaims.

The uniform, a sleek ensemble in grey with silver and white lines around the edges, is designed for combat, offering both protection and agility. "This isn't just any uniform. It's equipped with a single-use emergency shield for protection, and it has multiple functions for comfort, including temperature control runes. It can adapt to extreme cold and heat. And its special feature allows the wearer to mark one person, knowing their direction at all times," the professor elaborates, his voice filled with admiration.

Isadora takes the uniform, her reaction still minimal, and is then lowered back to the stage.

The professor then turns to the second-place winner. "For Azura," he announces as Azura is brought up to the platform. The professor hands her a Buban stick, a highly coveted herb known for its powerful properties. "This is a special grade herb that can enhance one's abilities and cleanse the body of impurities. A truly remarkable gift," he explains, his tone indicating the rarity of such an item.

Lastly, for third place, Oliver is brought up to the platform. The professor hands him a unique artifact, an item that piques Oliver's interest immediately. "For Oliver, we have something truly special. This is a rare alchemy brewing stove, an artifact that no one has been able to use effectively until now," he says, presenting the artifact to Oliver.

The crowd erupts in applause, each winner receiving their respective prize amidst the cheers and admiration of the audience. The atmosphere is electric with celebration, and the professor's enthusiasm adds to the grandeur of the moment.
