1 What? Destruction? Never.

I awoke from what felt like a deep slumber, lying down, eyes facing a ground I didn't know. I raised my head and was awestruck at the beauty of the place. It looked as if the entire galaxy had come down to earth. The sky was blueish-black, with white and golden speckles. To top that all, the entire thing was revolving, the patterns occasionally changing, making it so mesmerizing that I could just sit there for hours and never be bored.

No-one was present there, except the empty real/artificial galaxy, making me wonder if I'd already died without fulfilling what everyone wished for - annihilation of the King of the Demons, Samael. Slowly, I got up and looked around myself.

"Ah, you're here?" a voice called out from somewhere. I kept on looking, but couldn't see anyone.

"Hi"

I staggered back. A grinning face suddenly popped out in front of me from nowhere.

"Umm..who are you? And...where am I? Am I dead? Did I die befor-" I started speaking and got interrupted.

"Whoa whoa whoa calm down bud," the man said. "As for who I am, I won't tell you."

Out came a sandal from nowhere (again), and hit that man straight in the back of his head. The scenery suddenly changed, and went from being a galaxy to a wooden throne, attached to a very tall tree, in what looked like a forest. The air smelt sweeter and fresher with birds chirping up in the branches of other trees. The grass was taller than how it was in my homeland (till it got destroyed alongside the other villages), the flowers in the bushes with a mild smell, but so sweet one would want to fall asleep there and never wake up.

The throne was empty, but another voice called out, "Aziel, welcome to the upper dimension which I believe is known to people of your kind as the God Domain."

A slight wavering occurred at the throne, and a lady appeared, taller than me, beautiful beyond definable words, and sat on the throne.

"Wait, does that mean I really died?" was the only thing that came out of my mouth since I was present in a place, where people would not be able to enter even under extraordinary circumstances. The fact that I was brought here was too unfavourable.

The lady replied, "Yes, the energy blast went through your skull, shattering it, up to a level that it can't be fully repaired, but you can be granted a temporary life for some time. And that would be with 1% of the powers we have. It will allow you to do a couple of things which you might not have been able to do without that level of energy, but that power will remain for only a minute. You can use it however you want it within that time."

Everything she said felt dreamy, especially the temporary life and power part. I had at times dreamt of going beyond my limits to reach a higher power level, but was never able to do that. This was like a one in a million chance type of offer, but the entirety of everything felt very unsettling.

"Why me though? Like, why choose me? And if y'all are gods with a capital G, why don't you defeat him? Besides, what even is the point of giving me this power now?" I said, clenching my fists, getting angered over the whole thing. If these people calling themselves gods really did exist, why did they not help us defeat Samael? Why come when humanity is on the brink of destruction?

The man smiled kindly, and said, "First, allow us to introduce ourselves, and then we'll tell you the whole story. I am Camellia, meaning 'Helper of the Priest' that is, I am the top most minister of the Goddess, who rules above, sitting on the throne, Lady Kenna."

"Wai- Sir Camellia, the one who- who's referred to as the right hand of the Queen and Lady Kenna, known as the 'Greatest Champion'?" I found that even more unsettling. Why would two people of such high positions even want to meet me?

"Yes, that's right dear Aziel Cron, son of Lennon and Waylen Cron," the lady spoke. With just a finger movement from down to up, she erased gravity, and sent me flying. My body literally just rose in the air and I couldn't do anything, except grab a branch of the trees in there.

With a snap, she changed the scenery from the peaceful forest, to a graveyard, with something that I could not believe at all.

It was the claymore; the one written in the books, the one of the only two ever made, used by Lady Kenna, to slay the immortal Dragon of Fire, known to be more powerful than Samael.

Lady Kenna noticed where I was looking, and smiled. "Yes Aziel, that's the weapon I used to slay Kros, the dragon."

"But, how did you defeat him such a big weapon? Like, wouldn't it be physically impossible to slay something as big and powerful with such a heavy weapon?" I asked.

She laughed good naturedly, and said, "I wouldn't say it was impossible, but it was tough indeed. I have a special power known as the 'Weapon Transform' ability, which allows me to transform the weapons into whatever I like for increased defense, attack or agility. It does consume a bit of my power if I constantly use it, so I generally keep it in its original state so that it doesn't consume much energy to transform into a sword or a shield. I make it into a polearm, which requires the least energy so as to increase my agility. I had to use all four to defeat him, hence gaining the title 'Greatest Champion'.

Lives were lost; a lot of them. But some things can never be changed once they take place. In order to pay my respects, and to thank everyone, I decided to stop using that weapon, and stopped participating in fights as this weapon takes people's energy to do some miracles that my power can't do on its own."

"Anyway, the reason we've brought you in here is because you are someone, who can overcome and save all of us against what is about to happen."

I stood dumbfounded, looking at the claymore, and thinking of what she said, when she changed the scenery again, bringing me back to where I was.

"Uh what?" I asked stupidly.

Sir Camellia sighed, and said, "Aziel, the thing is, we aren't the superiors that you know of that is, we aren't the highest place of order. There are two more orders above us. One is Lady Kenna's father, the one whose name shall not be spoken, and above him are the fates. Samael, the one you know as the king of demons is not the real king. He's the third son of the real king of demons, and the least powerful amongst them three. Hence as well, we cannot interfere in your fight. He's someone you'll have to defeat with your own strength."

"But-"

He put up his palm. "Patience, dear. Let me finish," he continued. "What right now is going on is not comprehensible even for us. The upper demons have powers equal or maybe more than us, but their abilities far surpass ours. Samael's father, is trying to clash dimensions and then capture all the worlds together by completely annihilating any life form apart from the demon race, which I believe you know how is.

You are our last ray of hope who can subdue the demons with our indirect help as we cannot directly interfere like Her Highness previously informed. You will be reincarnated in a different world, with different powers, of which maybe you'll be allowed to choose a certain amount of abilities or maybe not depending on how the fates see it. This world, will be destroyed, starting with the obliteration of the earth," he finishes.

"Cam, give him the kol," Lady Kenna said.

"Yes ma'am," he answered. I had never heard of something as the kol, nor was it mentioned in any stories my mom told me or the books I had read in my lifetime.

Sir Camellia raised his right hand in the air, made an arc from left to right in a very swift and precise movement. Another space opened up in which he put his hand and pulled out a hemispherical device, with what looked like energy raging through it. I took a step back in fright.

"Ah, no need to panic, it won't hurt you in any way, but completely destroy whatever there is," Sir Cam joked. "On a serious note, all you have to do is somehow attach this device on Samael. It won't completely destroy him, mostly because your body at this stage won't be able to accept our power added with the Kol's 30% power to completely destroy him, but it will still weaken him to quite an acceptable length such that he'll need a lot of time to recover."

"However," Lady Kenna contributed, "part of your memory will be taken away not by us, but the fates as compensation for what is about to happen. We know it doesn't stand favourable for you, nor do you or we two know what part of those memories will be taken away, but-"

"It's okay," I interrupt. "It's anyway coming to an end, then why not just grab a chance to have a go at it once again? If that you said is really true, and if I do get reincarnated, I'll go for it. I'm yet to live my life to it's fullest."

Sir Cam and Lady Ken, look at each other, then back at me and give me a sad smile. Sir Cam walked over to me, handed me the Kol, and put his palm over my eyes.

"May you succeed, and if you do, perhaps we'll see each other again," he said.

He gave me a slight push, and I blacked out.
