Mizuki was now living in a moderately sized apartment near her school. She had multiple bodyguards that were receiving quite the large salary so she was not afraid of losing her life before even getting married.... But.. "Human greed really is a vile thing. Is it not?" Now in another world where power decides everything human greed is not the biggest problem she will face. But bare in mind reader. Reincarnation is not that uncommon. (art ain't mine)

Experiment 7, Catastrophe 2

Waking up to the same old flick of a switch. Mitsuna's light smile that she had on her face disappeared and was replaced by a tired frown.

"Good morning and come on out my sweet little test subject~"

Nickolangela sang as she knew Mitsuna was using the toilet for one thing or another.

"After you powder your nose I have the best of the best of experiments for you to take part in."

Mitsuna let out a tired sigh as she cycled through the memories now in her head.

"You wouldn't believe it but you are actually a reincarnation of the legendary Mizuki the Silver Sheep! And since we don't want anyone to get hurt we made this cool and pretty little neck bracelet that will keep her under wraps for certain!"

'There really is quite a bit to sort through, a little less than a year before and more than a year after death. I sure was busy all this time too.'

"You're speechless? Oh I know, right~! Only a day and we already made something, aren't I the best!"

'There it is.'

Just as Nickolangela started praising herself, Mitsuna found the memories about the magic experiments that she did back at the dungeon.

After searching for another second, she found an old spell that she made.

'Since brother is still taking his sweet time, I'll start and find him first.'

Creating the magic circle in her palm, it was pure black.

Making it float onto a wall, she poured a bit of mana into it along with a slight edit.

Nickolangela had suddenly become extremely quiet.

Hearing the click of the all too familiar switch, Mitsuna activated the circle.

A long spike of darkness protruded from the magic circle. Spinning at high speed, it went straight through the hole made for communication and stabbed through Nickolangela's skull.

Walking out from behind the toilet, Mitsuna looked at the other side of the glass.

Crouching beneath the shadow spike, she moved closer to the glass.

Nickolangela's body stood there as blood dripped onto the floor.

Deactivating the spell and seeing her fall to the ground lifeless, Mitsuna broke the door to her cell with a kick.

'Damn. I wanted to do a few experiments on her myself. Weak ass.'

Yawning deeply, Mitsuna grabbed the body by the hair and dragged it to the toilet.

Washing her body in the women's sinks, she took some of Nickolangela's clothes, cut them shorter and wore them herself.

'Damn she was tall. Annoying even in death.'

Walking out of the bathroom, a passing scientist stopped in his tracks.

Making awkward eye contact with the man, Mitsuna pointed behind him and yelled.

"Look out! Intruder!"

The man suddenly looked behind him in confusion.

Seeing nothing, he was about to turn back but before he could, he found two feet in his face.

Mitsuna dropkicked the man with all her strength.

The man flew and his head splattered against the wall leaving chunks of meat and a bunch of blood.

"Heh. Fell for it."

Walking past the crime scene, she held her nose as she glanced at the braincake.

"Ugh. I'm going to go mental if I don't get out of here. Human brains look so gross when they are splattered against conveniently strengthened white walls."

Using a bit of space magic, Mitsuna walked through multiple walls without alerting anyone and soon found herself in a storage room.

"Dios Mio isn't this a rather big place for a small laboratory."

Breaking open a few metal crates, she found hundreds of valuables mana crystals gold and all that.

"Come on. Should be here somewhere."

Digging through two more giant metal crates, she finally found what she was looking for.

"Whew~. Good."

Placing the ring she got from her dad on her finger, she smiled.

"Although I tried not to think about it too much this was one of the things I was most anxious about. Now."

Looking around, she had a nice smile on her face.

"Anything else."

...

An hour later, a group of scientists wearing armour and carrying guns and daggers entered the room.

"This is search team Omega. We might have found something, will report any signs of the missing subject when encountered, over."

The team heard clanging and as they pointed their guns that held flashlights towards the noise, they found a giant nearly 3m in diameter pure steel crate with a giant hole in it.

All the valuables inside had poured out and were glistening in the rays of light.

"Possible encounter report. Team Omega. Storage area 357-F. Requesting assistance, Over."

"Hey what are you guys on about?"

Mitsuna popped her head out of the pile of riches with a crown half sitting on her head.

"Encounter report. Team Omega. Target spotted."

"You know this sh*t looks like it would cost more than the crown jewels of that one queen? Why hold it in a giant crate? It was filled with dust so you definitely weren't taking it anywhere. What's the point?"

"Subject 037-AA9. Disclose the location of Professor Nickolangela and the reason as to why you are in this storage area."

Mitsuna stopped digging through the gold as a bead of sweat ran down her face. She felt awkward is the reason, not wanting to tell them she killed someone.

"Ughhh... I'm here because... I'm a... baller? Also, the number on my clothing was just 37. Oh the AA9 refers to the lab, doesn't it? So there are more than 1, where?"

Quickly changing the topic, she distracted herself by rummaging around the gold some more with no concrete goal.

"We are not allowed to disclose the location of any facility."

Giving up on trying to hide the dead body in the bathroom, Mitsuna spoke after a quick thought.

'There is another body just splashed on a wall anyway, I'll try to cover up that next. Don't want my popularity to fall with people who are about to die.'

"So... there Are more than 1. You are rather bad at this. Oh by the way that b*tch of a woman is dead. Naked in some bathroom."

"Which floor?" a member of the party asked after a moment of silence.

Mitsuna pouted.

"Hell if I know. I wasn't exactly given a map when I was brought here. Besides, you don't have to worry about that. What you should be worried about is the giant pillar of ice above you."

As the men quickly turned their gaze upward, each of their heads was impaled by a long black spike from the side.

"How does everyone fall for these things? Should I tell them there is an impostor among them next?"

Rolling her eyes, she threw away the crown and the few necklaces that were hanging around her neck and checked the men's weapons and armour.

'Boring and overused. So they can't use their riches to buy better sh*t for themselves. Or maybe someone else owns this place. Huh. That sounds better yeah.'

Feeling a little more control over her body and memories after a good while, Mitsuna checked her stats after what felt like ages.
