Chapter 29: A Night at the Inn

We decide to definitely spend the night at the inn that we cross. There’s another small town about a day’s journey from the Bianese dungeon. You can find most dungeons by just drawing lines between the small towns. There’s usually about four or five surrounding each one, about a day’s journey out.

This one only has the one inn, but it’s much larger than the one I grew up in, maybe three times the size. Big enough that there is a common room for the inn, a separate tavern, and a separate restaurant. The restaurant even has its own cooking staff. My mother would love this place. If this world had postcards, I’d totally send her one.

We go to the tavern, and I watch for a little while, in case there’s someone else who has already set up a performance, or in case there are rules about that kind of thing. I know that storytelling isn’t a common mode of performance, but I don't want to step on any toes if I don’t have to.
