Wolf was at a loss.
Everywhere he went, fire kept on blocking his path. Buildings, stricken by flames, filled the landscape with their figures.
If that wasn't enough, Kusabimaru, the blade his lord had given him, was missing. However, for some reason, the Mortal Blade remained on his person.
He wasn't sure, however, if he should try and unsheathe the blade from its scabbard. As the legend goes, without the power of Resurrection, one could not hope to wield this weapon without having his life snuffed out.
So there it was, hanging limply on his back, tightly sealed within its scabbard.
As he continuously traversed the path unharmed by the raging inferno, Wolf heard the telltale sounds of combat not far from his spot. Thinking it a good idea to gather some more information pertaining to his current situation, Wolf hurried, his footsteps making nary a sound within the confines of the burning city.
The more he closed the gap, the more he realized the sounds of fighting weren't ones you would normally hear when conducting a melee. There were screams, there was the thumping of flesh against flesh, but continuous explosions?
Reaching the area, Wolf opted to hide himself from the ongoing fight, the dominating side consisting of only a single teenager with ash-blonde hair.
"Die! You worthless villains!" The teen kept on screaming his lungs out, a feral grin on his face. Explosions rang out every time he thrust out his hands, the victims of the attack crumpling to the ground with agonized faces.
"Shit! What are the teachers at UA feeding these little shits!?"
"Less talking, more fighting! Kill the brat!"
"SHUT UP YOU CLOWNS! AS IF SHITTY VILLAINS COULD TAKE ME DOWN!" The ash-blonde teen snarled before he launched himself at the congregating group of humans, or, in his term, villains.
As all this happened, Wolf watched on with an analytical eye, his mind taking in every move and storing them in case he ever fights the teen.
That brings up a question, though.
'What are kids doing in a burning town?' The buildings were too advanced for a common village, so Wolf concluded that he was currently in a town, although there was something nagging at his mind that something was amiss.
Continuing to analyze the fight, Wolf noticed something more about the teen and his adversaries.
Namely, powers that gave normalcy the middle finger.
Not like he's one to talk. He had been gifted before with Resurrection, but at least there was a plausible explanation for that.
This, however, was something else. Something completely different from all the things he had ever known.
The ash-blonde teen could release explosions from his hands - the reason unknown to Wolf, for now - while the villains had a mishmash of powers, ranging from stretching limbs to releasing a torrent of water from their mouths.
One thing Wolf noticed was that each and everyone of them had a power unique only to them.
It was strange, but nothing mind-boggling. Wolf has faced worse.
The fight grew into a standstill, with the two sides neither making any visible moves when the ash-blonde teen blasted another villain with his power, sending him to the realm of dreams. It was at this point that the villains were down to only two, and they were rapidly paling at the sight of the grinning teen.
"So that's all you amount to? Damn villains. Not even letting me break a sweat." The teen's voice chilled the conscious villains down to their very spines. "I'll have fun blasting you all to HELL!"
With a shriek, the teen blasted himself off the ground and barreled straight towards the two frozen villains, neither making a move to dodge the incoming attack. A mistake that cost them dearly.
Two explosions later from each hand, and the two villains were sent careening to the ground, their faces a cruel depiction of brutality that would cause no amount of pain in the future.
'Dangerous.' Was Wolf's conclusion upon seeing the fight end. He will not lie. Fighting the teen in his state would not be easy. True, he could kill him using stealth or beat him in a straight-up fight.
But not without difficulty with his current set-up. He was weaponless, if not counting his shinobi prosthetic.
What Wolf would give to have Kusabimaru back in his hands...
Seeing no further reason to stay, Wolf backed away from the area and went the opposite direction, unknowingly passing a red-headed teen hauling a familiar emerald teen who was on the verge of passing out from the bursting emotions.

It took a while, but Wolf finally found a way out of the burning city. But what he didn't expect was another area completely unfamiliar to him.
At least in the burning city, he had the familiarity of the Hirata Estate, but this open area filled with knocked-out bodies and a black-muscled monstrosity was quite an eye-opening moment for him.
It even had a beak and his brain was exposed. One, Wolf, was sure to be a glaring weak point.
'Why isn't it covered?'
Taking a deep breath, Wolf moved to find some cover. A few bushes by a lake was his decision. As he crouched down and observed the ongoing fight, Wolf was subjected to a show of brilliant martial arts.
An elbow here, a quick flip there, a sudden deflect, coupled with his mastery of his curious weapon, and Wolf could say that even with his full arsenal, he would have difficulty fighting the man.
It's not impossible, just difficult. After all, men bled all the same.
What he noticed, however, was the fatigue showing on the black-haired man. He was losing energy at a rapid pace, and his enemies still amounted to a good number.
Hearing water splash behind him, Wolf quickly turned and found more teens coming up shore, their bodies soaking wet from the swim.
One had long, darkish-green hair, with features one might associate with a frog. She wore a skintight bodysuit colored green, with the tip of her tongue poking out.
Next was a blonde with a streak of dark hair. He wore a dark jacket with white highlights and had some kind of device strapped next to his ear.
The last was a raven-haired teen wearing a red suit that left nothing to the imagination. Wolf had a brief thought of the girl being a prostitute, but threw it out of the window.
Slipping further into the bushes, where there was a good chance he wouldn't be discovered, Wolf began to patiently wait for the teens to pass by, only for them to stop and gawk at the scene happening in the plaza.
Following their lead, Wolf did the same, only to see the black monstrosity already pinning the black-haired man down to the ground.
Then, another enemy, this time wearing hands all over his body with cerulean hair, walked towards the man. Looking closer, Wolf noticed the pinned man's eyes glowing red, glaring at the black monster.
Only for him to be subjected to another skull-crushing slam to the ground.
"Aizawa, meet the bio-engineered anti-symbol of peace." The hand man said with a vicious smirk. "I call him Nomu."
As if making a response to the hand man's words, the monster… the Nomu, let out a roar loud enough to deafen everybody in the area.
"Also, your quirk won't work! Not when faced with overwhelming power!" The man cackled furiously, only stopping when some kind of black, misty portal appeared beside him.
"Shigaraki Tomura, apologies, but one of the children escaped." The information put a damper on the hand man's laughter and joy, only to be replaced with incessant neck-scratching.
"Kurogiri, if you weren't our ticket out of here, I would've turned you to dust." The hand man continued to scratch for a few moments before dripping his head down. "Aw man. Looks like this is it. Game over. Time to go home."
Wolf, as well as the children nearby, were perplexed by the abrupt change, with a glimmer of hope pouring into the latter.
"But before that," the hand man turned to look his way, or more specifically, the children's way, "Let's break All Might's spirit."
In an insane burst of speed, the hand man rushed towards the children, his hand stretched out to grab the nearest teen with his hand. The teen in question was the dark-green haired girl, who was paralyzed at the sudden thought of death.
It was then that something stirred within Wolf. It wasn't directed at the thought of the teen dying. It wasn't about the remorselessness of the hand man.
No, that feeling brought him to move his gaze towards the black monster.
'Parasite…'
He could feel it. The centipede. The parasite, living inside the Nomu's body.
Grasping the handle of the Mortal Blade, Wolf made a decision that would quite possibly end his life there and then.
But as if some unforeseen aid was watching over him, the Mortal Blade smoothly slipped out of its scabbard and into Wolf's hands.
And without a moment's hesitation, he lunged.

At the same time, Tomura was grinning, his hand outstretched to grab the brat's face. Oh, he could imagine her face disintegrating into dust, the horror-filled faces of the other brats.
But when his hand landed, nothing happened. Tomura looked back at Aizawa, who was glaring at him with a single eye.
"You really are cool, Aizawa. Kill him." Tomura scowled and gestured to the Nomu.
The Nomu moved to respond, but stopped when a blade sliced through its neck and decapitated its head. Seeing this locked Tomura in place, dumbfounded at the scene.
With Wolf, Using his shinobi prosthetic, he quickly readied the Loaded Spear and thrust it inside the mortal wound and pulled, revealing a squirming centipede, which he quickly cut in half with the Mortal Blade.
Nobody moved; the air was still as everybody watched with bated breath. And then, the Nomu fell.
To be honest, I was a bit at a loss on how to continue with the story, but then I had an idea. Rejuvenating waters and the centipede that grants immortality. At least, now I have an idea on how to continue. As for how they are still here, chalk it up to divinity bullshittery.
