Chapter 39: It's A Start

“We need to stop the Vicious Furs pack,” Those were the first words out of Scott’s lips the moment he stepped onto the nature preserve, glaring up at Miles as if wanting to blame him for everything that was happening.

“What happened? Did they hurt you or Theo? Did they go after your human?” Miles questioned as the worry sunk in, thinking back to the conversation he’d had with Theo.

“There’s nothing you or your pack can do to stop them from walking around in broad daylight?” Scott snapped without even thinking, realizing a split second later how ridiculous he sounded. Of course, the pack couldn’t stop the Vicious Furs, not without drawing attention to themselves.

But Miles only found himself worrying about Scott and Theo, and Scott’s human, from the rogue pack. If only there was more he could do to help.
