Time To Let Loose!

Pulling into the driveway of her house, my BFF began to squeal in excitement and bolted towards her bedroom the moment she was able to unlock the door. I closed the door and left my canvas shoes by the door, taking my time to her room. I sat down on her bed and listened to her fight within her closet.

After a while, she came back out, brandishing our dresses and the pack of coolers that she'd acquired for tonight. Placing the dresses on the bed beside me, she took out two of the drinks and handed one to me with a wink.

"We got two hours before the pack party starts, please let me do your makeup! I need some help with my hair too!" Bea ran around the room, turning on music and gathering what she thinks she will need onto the top of her desk.

I giggled as I agreed to let her, taking a sip of the bubbly drink before placing it on a table and standing to put my dress on, the inside of the dress was a simple white, that hugged me tightly but is attached to a blush-pink lace that stopped before my shoulders, continued to my wrists, and a bodice that was in the high-lo fashion that Dani insisted on.

It was way fancier than anything I had ever worn by choice, not including the beautiful dresses my dad had put me in as a child. I always tended to steer towards practical clothing, and Dani always tries to get me to dress up, or "more grown-up" as she sometimes calls it. Once It was on I asked Dani to help fasten it.

When it was done I grabbed my drink and drank a bit while waiting for her to squeeze into her black and shimmery halter top, skin-tight dress. It featured a slit in the side that started way too high on her hip in my opinion, but she worked out a lot and was very proud to show it off.

"You look amazing Daniella!" I told her as I Fastened the back together for her.

"And we aren't even done yet!" Dani winked and sat me down in the chair in front of the desk. "Now close your eyes and trust me!"

I let out a sigh and finished off my first bottle before sitting back and letting her work her magic. She always thought it was weird that I love art, especially painting, but just could never figure out makeup. It was more that I much rather sit around with a book or a sketchpad and some charcoal pencils.

Dani moved brushes and sponges over my face for a while, eventually, it became kind of relaxing. Occasionally she'd ask me to turn my head or open my eyes and I would oblige her.

"There, all done! Take a look!" She finally exclaimed.

I opened my eyes and turned to the mirror, seeing a face that resembled mine, but was a bit more... more of what I wasn't sure. She had accented my feature beautifully, given me a smokey cat's eye look that I never would have attempted, and added a slight redness to my lips. I smiled and Dani squealed once more.

"I hoped you'd like it, I tried not to do too much!" She waited for my sound of approval before shooing me out of the seat to begin on her own face.

I curled my ends and did a simple half-crown hairstyle before giving myself a once over and I was honestly impressed that I looked so good. I finished off another drink before asking Dani to start on her wavy black mass of hair.

I began pulling it into a bun while allowing a few strands to fall before pinning it in place. When Dani was done we just danced around until it was time to go, getting out our heels and walking out of the house.

Dani lit a cigarette as we began the short 10-minute walk to the packhouse. As we walked up the driveway we could hear other wolves our age, shouting over loud music and smiling at each other. This was the first and only party in the pack, that I was ever going to if I could help it, and I was determined to make it a good one!

The minute we got through the door the music rocked our bodies, they had party lights going and a fog machine going by the main staircase. There were young wolves everywhere, some who'd graduated a few years prior, some that wouldn't graduate until the next year, and even a few I recognized from the neighboring pack.

We made our way into the kitchen to grab some drinks and headed to the dance floor. It wasn't long before the party took us and we were laughing and getting a heavy buzz. Drenched in sweat we decided to go outside for a little while and left to the back garden where other people had grouped to smoke.

When trying to exit the door I was looking at Dani, startled when I ran into something hard. The thing that I'd bumped let out a vicious squeal and roughly grabbed my arm, digging manicured nails into my flesh.

"How dare you! I'm absolutely soaked now!" Bethany Hart stood in front of me, her makeup-caked face so scrunched in anger, it was a wonder that it didn't flake off.

"I'm sorry Bethany, I didn't see you." I began but she quickly cut me off by turning and throwing me off the steps where I landed with a thud, scraping my hands and knees as I tried to catch myself.

"What the hell Beth?" Dani growled from the doorway. "Can't you just play nice for one goddamn day?"

"That wolfless trash ruined my dress! And she's going to pay for it!" Bethany screamed as she ran at me, still on the ground.

She was partly shifted and her claws ripped at my dress and skin as I tried to fend her off. I looked up to see Dani, trapped behind Mandy and Daisy. I was on my own, and unable to shift, and I was pissed.
