Well, the day of the dreaded parties arrived. I wasn't all that upset about these parties being held, but I didn't really see the point in it. I wasn't losing anything by marrying Makai, so I didn't need this party.

To the best of my knowledge, bachelor parties were like a last hurrah that men had before they were 'tied down' or before they were 'saddled with their future', then there was the last day of 'that old ball and chain'.
