239 239. Chaos Sword Art

Ryu's sudden emergence shocked everyone. His right arm was slightly scorched but he looked fine!

Eventhough Ryu said it leisurely he was in danger a second ago. At that last moment he was able to stabilise the space around him for a split second to escape into his pocket dimension.

King focused on Ryu, he clearly felt a change in space.

' Space.... don't tell me he is a space Cultivator! '

Among all Cultivators space was the most thorniest. They could escape if situation seemed unfavorable, and they could crash in whenever they liked.

King didn't want to give Ryu any opportunities, he made a serious of hand signs. It was the first time Ryu was seeing someone from immortal realm do hand signs.

In a split second King was done, he raised his index finger and pointed towards the sky.

" Seal."

Lightning spread out with him at its center. Black clouds started to gather again, this time it expanded for tens of miles without doing anything.

Thunder rumbled from within causing the space beneath them to become unusually unstable.

" I see, good one."

Ryu commented. King was obviously taking precautions against Ryu's space abilities. The unstable atmosphere created by these thunder clouds denied access to any form of space abilities.

Of course if Ryu was on the same realm as King then such a restriction was useless.

Flames started to gather around Ryu, his sword emitted a frightening amount of heat. The space was starting to burn from its power.

The ground beneath them rumbled before several trees broke out. Each of it went straight for King.

King was startled.

' Wood!? How!? '

He didn't have any time to contemplate, before any of those struck him his domain activated. Lightning and Some other power crushed the incoming attack.

boom... boom...

Countless amount of Wood chased him down, his domain crushed everything that came at him but the sheer number of attacks aimed at him caused him to lose sight of Ryu.

Just as he was about to refocus an eerie sound reached him

" Chaos Sword Art, Flame Form.....

His back was drenched in sweat, heat assaulted him from all sides. His domain clashed with the incoming attack and proved useless.

The Heaven Shielding Bell gave out a soft glow as it protected him.

King was startled. A blade was now resting several inches from him, it was burning down the energy shield surrounding him as it inched forward.

A blast of heat hit his face, slightly burning his handsome face. King retreated immediately, but would Ryu let go of such an opportunity?

ding!... ding!.... ding!.....

Continuous sound of his sword hitting that energy shield echoed through the space. King was starting to get worried, his energy was breaking down.

Just as he retreated the air around him changed again. Instead of that terrifying heat it was now bone chilling cold around him.

Ryu's sword was now deep blue in colour, the space around his sword was starting to freeze over. This sight shocked King to his core.

' First was Fire, then space, then wood, and now ice. How many elements can he control!? '

Ryu traced his sword as he backed for an attack. His fingers slid along the sleek body of his blade and muttered.

" Chaos Sword Art, Ice form....

His figure disappeared. King was about to dodge but he found his body unable to do so. He watched as Ryu's sword descended upon him, the space broke like glass as his sword moved.

Aaaaahhhhh!

King gave out a loud roar. The Heaven Shielding Bell started to shine even brightly, the energy shield around him gave out even more energy but area around it was filled with sword scars.

Ryu's sword made contact with his shield but the expected loud bang didn't occur. Ice cold energy spread out from the point of contact and started to cover Heaven Shielding Bell.

This energy started to invade the shield through the several sword scars around it.

King felt his Qi freeze for a second before he forced these energy out. He took out a ring and put it on his fingers before disappearing.

Ryu stood his ground and looked up. King was now standing way up in the sky, his body was covered by lightning arcs and looked like a deity. The Heaven Shielding Bell still floated above him giving off a soft glow but it was weaker than before.

King traced the ring on his finger and sighed. He really didn't want to use another artifact but the man infront of him was weird and way too strong.

He was able to use fire, space, wood and ice. Even among those monstrous geniuses within the alliance it was next to impossible to present an anomaly like Ryu.

Ryu got ready. He never expected King to increase his speed again.

King got ready, like a ghost he was already behind Ryu. His fist rumbled forward, ready to punch a hole through Ryu's chest.

Ryu was obviously startled, his body shifted to the side. King's fist brushed past his chest, tearing some of his clothes and flesh. Ryu raised his sword to cut his arm but King again disappeared.

This time he appeared right above Ryu, his fist just and inch away from Ryu's head.

Bang!!

At the last second Ryu deflected the attack with his sword.

Their bodies flashed around, shockwaves spread around making the space even more chaotic.

As the fight went on King felt Ryu getting faster and faster.

' No! I am getting slower!! '
