I ignored her but even though I didn't wanna agree with her words, it was important lesson learnt in my life.

My uniform was dirty and I had no choice but go to school like that which was going to turn as a mock of my of my school days and who knows even in the holidays. I put on my head high, chest up and walked so fast to arrive early as I was delayed by that lady...

Guard: oh you are back Tinker

"yeah I am, how are you sir?

Guard: I'm fine how was home?

Guard: I will inform any lady teacher so that she will search you.

" no problem sir, I will wait here"

Our senior teacher was the one who was called and she searched me and didn't find anything but still had the doubts because she said, "a person who came with phone is likely to come with drugs again and they really know how to hide it well".

I was really hurt that my name was tarnished with something that I didn't do and I was also being punished severely, both at home and school.

As it was Sunday, some people were doing their laundry, some were gossiping, some were playing and some i don't know as people were doing different things. Some group of girls started giggling when I was passing by themselves and that's when I knew that I was their topic.

I just get inside my dorm that was three per dorm at our 🏫 school.I was happy that my dorm mates were not inside because I wanted to read my books in peace but unfortunately I couldn't understand anything, all I had was thinking about was my life. I throw my book under the bed and sleep.

Within an hour of sleeping, I was called by the headmistress and I wore my uniform on top of my night dress.

Headmistress:oh tinker we called you here regarding your punishment, you are supposed to start it today now!

I had no choice but to agree... I was given the hoe, the pick to dig a hole that is same with my height ....as tall as I was it was gonna be a heavy punishment because I was not supposed to put any water on the ground.

The dining hall was close to the pit that I was making. Lunch hour was ready but I chose to ignore it because I had some unfinished business.

Someone hugged me behind and as I turned around I saw that it was Jay .The grin that I had when I saw that it was Trey made me jump to hug Trey.

Jay: (smiling) I missed you, you know I was counting the days.

Literally I'm someone who doesn't cry so I just changed my mood which Jay saw and asked me...

"I'm just amused that the is someone who was missing me at this school, this really means a lot".

Jay: I'm happy that I made someone happy, let me help you digging a hole..

He did not wait for my response, he just took the pick and started digging.

I don't know why but my mind was somewhere else as I was drooling over him. I never thought he can do that because he was pure clean and you could tell that he was not a ghetto boy.

"Jay you know to be honest I never thought you know how to dig".

He just laughed and continuing what he was doing. We started to dig together until study time. Study time was compulsory so even if you were on punishment, it didn't give you the right to dodge study.

In study room, I could feel people staring at me but who cares I didn't come to school for them so if they see me bad it's their loss.We were mixed in study room from form one's to six.

In the middle of the study, Jay came to our study room and we started to study together.

Jay: I can you are not even concentrating, let's just leave this books and tell each others stories.

I raised my eyebrows and tell myself beside my life story which other story do I know.

Jay started to tell about the scandals that was happening at school whilst I was not around. He made my day the way he was telling it, you would think that he is a comedian.When study was over, we didn't go out because Jay still wanted to talk to me. He touched my lips softly and muttered something that I didn't here.

"What did you say"

He tried to brush it off but I was not gonna let it go

Jay: ok fine, Your lips are soft that what I said.

"so was it that to repeat that"

You could tell he was embarrassed but didn't wanna admit as he was one of those hardcores.

TWO WEEKS LATER

we were now an item with Jay and the legends were giving me the hard time because of that.

Elisa: what's up the cheap babe who just said I love you too within some seconds.

I don't know where Jay came from as he smashed my lip whilst some people who didn't have life were blubbering nonsense.

Jay:so is that any problem if she was being honest with her feelings and the other thing you never achieve in life is to be yourselves which my girl here knows well.

Amber: you know what mr, no one in this school would want to be like this scrap, she's so lame so stop making her as if she's special she's nothing.

Jay just pulled me from the area because he did not like to tolerate nonsense.I don't know why the words didn't hurt me this time because if it was long time ago I would have isolate myself for the whole day.I applauded for myself for being a strong girl. We went to the grounds with Jay because that's where it was empty.
