Ancestry

Annalise the young lady of the Britten Dukedom, currently 3 years old had a cute doll like face with beautiful red ruby-like eyes and a button nose. Her silver hair that sparkled under the sun revealed her identity as a member of the Britten family, but the child was too small for her age. Her development was slow but interestingly she was very healthy. Too healthy that her condition seems contradictory.

No doctor or any healers from the temple including the high priest could tell why the child's development was slow. And the most contradictory thing is, though everything and everyone says she is healthy after all the check ups the child was too fragile and looked like she would break at a single touch.

All these contradictory conditions made Adriana anxious that a single touch would break her precious child. Nobody seems to be able to find what's wrong with her child and if something should happen once she held her, who can help her child.

But Adriana later knew that the problem of the child's physique was due to her ancestry particularly Adriana's mother's side of the family, which is believed to have the blood of the Ancient Dragon flowing through their viens, well atleast that's what's written in the secret mausoleum that only those who inherited the power could enter. But she knew the truth too late after all her mother was a normal human ignorant of her ancestry.

And in this Kingdom, those having a dragon's or any transcendental beasts blood flowing in their viens were persecuted due to the Kingdom's enmity with these very species.

Rather than saying the enmity the Kingdom has with these species, the truth would be the due to the cruelty and greed of humans and most importantly the envy humans have towards them for their transcendental powers. Humans can truly become greedy creatures far surpassing the greediness of dragons over hoarding treasures.

And history had been whitewashed by the many shameless hypocrites in hiding, singing their glory while dragging down the reputation of their enemies.

The Kingdom of Garcia including it's neighbours in the east and west are the human territories, while the Southern and Northern part is occupied by Dragons, elves, Ogres, Orcs, Trolls and the Beastmen occupy the land in the centre of all these places, just adjacent to the Garcia Kingdom.

Beastmen are strong, so they are taken as slaves for physical and rough work, while their females and children once captured by the despicable humans are reduced to being mere slaves of pleasure. But from a century ago slavery has been abolished when the King of that time fell in love with a Beastwoman. But still their race are ostracised by humans for reasons unknown.

And people having the blood of a transcendental being mixed in their blood are equated to beastmen, though they are naturally different from each other and thus suffer the same oppression.

Slavery is prohibited in Garcia but still one cannot but help if they are of mixed species. Especially when one part is humans. Humans fear and envy those that are different from them.

Thus her mother's family was a normal family of Counts, yes atleast that was their hidden alias since the birth of the Kingdom about 5000 years ago. They could not expose the fact that their family had the dragons blood, that too an ancient one being the strongest and powerful species, invoked fear in the hearts of men, especially those who knew the story of the atrocities an Ancient Dragon who committed against the humans when there was no distinction in territories.
