A Villain's Guide to World Domination

{On break...} Let me begin by telling you how much I hate cliches and Happy ever after's. Cinderella, getting the prince with love at first sight, snow-white, and her Prince with love’s first kiss…who’s gonna tell these fools that real life doesn’t work like that and don't even get me started with the so-called heroes. It's almost like the world is blind, and my four-eyed self(making sure to clean my pair of glasses before putting them back on) is the only human that can see that: Villains are the true masterminds, the ones with the goals, the only people who see the world as it is- an apple for the taking. That's why my motto is: Life is short and I, Ray, should always come FIRST. ********* Unlike the cute facade Ray puts up in front of his mother: the only person he cares about, Ray is anything but cute. He sees the world he lives in a little differently and he intends to change it. Unlike others vying to become heroes, he embraces the villain he knows himself to be and the absolute ruler he hopes to become. In a high-tension world where superhumans exist alongside mutated beasts with powers of their own , there is a huge gap between heroes and villains. Apart from the different grades(F-A) powers are divided into, they are also classified into two main groups. Propensity for good( Hero-like) and Propensity for bad(Villain-like). This means that the power each person can awaken directly affects how they are treated and which organizations and groups they can join. At fifteen, Ray’s life doesn’t go according to how he planned it. Not only is he unable to awaken his powers but caught in the crossfire of a huge battle between a hero and a villain, his life lingers at the brink of death. Just before his soul escapes his body, he gains a death-related system that not only changes his looks and body but also the way people view him. Regardless, Ray doesn’t care. His sole purpose is *world domination* even if he has to bring the world to its knees first. At first, he tries to join hands with a villain organization his father belonged to when he was alive, to take down as many heroes as he can as his powers slowly grow to balance the gap between the two groups. But when he discovers how shallow-minded other villains were to each other and themselves. Almost at the cost of his life, he finds a way to upgrade his system and ventures out on his own, building his army from scratch, using the very souls of the mutated beasts the human race is daily battling to defeat. A Night Visitor

"Call and tell incinerate that it's been taken care of," Glow told Jirena the moment they stepped out, glad to be done with her business in the hospital, wanting nothing more than to be back at the Hero Headquarters where her main office was.

She was already walking away at a fast pace and had only taken a couple of steps with Jirena strictly following her pace behind when she suddenly stopped.

"On second thoughts…" she whispered in an extremely low tone that only Jirena who was standing directly behind her could hear.

"…get rid of him," Glow said, with Jirena instinctively nodding as per her usual behavior to whatever Glow said right before her eyes slightly widened, instantly understanding the deeper meaning of what her boss wanted.

"Of course. Madam glow," Jirena replied giving a small bow and following her the moment she started moving.

A few days went by with Ray stuck on his bed, as he patiently waited for the surgery he had sold his mother's soul for even though he had no choice.

In the meantime, he tried to figure out how the strange Death system that appeared in front of him, the second he willed it, worked.

"Death system," he thought, watching a dark screen with the words appear right in front of him, which he alone could see.

"What the hell does Minion mean?" Ray thought unable to take his eyes off that section of the transparent screen in front of him no matter how many times he opened it up and looked at it.

It was the evening of the third day with Ray still stuck in his bed incapable of moving any other part of his body apart from his head, waiting for the day of his body reconstruction surgery to arrive when he heard a single loud knock on his door.

At first, he thought it was most likely one of his nurses, but then it occurred to him that they never actually knocked, and they only checked up on him in the morning and the evenings.

Slightly curious, Ray felt his heart skip a beat as he watched the door of his room slide open, softly and gently enough to barely make any sound at all.

In a slight panic, an irrational thought that Horati might want to kill him popped into his mind, while he was still unable to walk. Instantly, Ray summoned all the strength he could to try and move his fingers and his body and touch the button that would call the nurses.

He couldn't move of course, since his entire body was tightly bandaged together, but just before he came to the conclusion that the nurses were also in on the assassination plan, a strange and tall man entered his room, closing and locking the door behind him the moment he was in.

"Who are you?" Ray asked as he perused the appearance of the intruder in front of him, whose appearance looked familiar but whose face he was almost sure he had never seen.

The tall man wore a black Hat that went well with the rest of his pitch-black outfit of a shirt, long pants, and a jacket to go with it, along with a silver cane, which he leaned and walked with.

"argh...kurgh...kurf," the man continuously coughed into a white handkerchief which was slowly turning red, without giving a reply to Ray's question.

Still, the slightly weak state of the man in front of him gave Ray some assurance that he was safe, even though in his paralyzed state, a simple pull of his oxygen tube was enough to send him to an alternate realm.

"What do you want?" Ray asked again in a calmer tone this time around, the second the man in front of him stopped coughing and lifted the low hat covering the top of his face, off his head to properly look at him.

"Mr. Black," he began by introducing himself, with the exact name he had given to Ray at the Train terminal where he first met him.

"Sadly, you don't even remember me and it's only been less than two weeks,"

"Especially since it's obvious that I'm the only speck of good luck in your life," Mr. Black said, his shoulders drooping slightly, proof of how weak he was, while watching Ray with a pitiful expression in his eyes,

"Two weeks?" he said in slight surprise more to himself than a real question to Mr. Black "Why are you here Mr black? And don't tell me it's because you want to help me," Ray asked, not at all trusting the man now standing in front of him knowing that the only person he could trust completely was himself.

"Fine. I'm here for my sake and everyone else's, "He replied, stepping closer to Ray's bed as he spoke.

"I'm here because I'm too sick to live and you're too young to be so powerless," he said blatantly speaking his mind since it was obvious that pleading wasn't going to work on the boy in front of  him,

"And...someone needs to kill all the leaders so that the rest of us can survive, "Mr. Black said in a solemn tone glad to see Ray perk up with an expression of shock, as he finally seemed to be paying attention to what he was saying.

"I'm listening but I don't think I understand what you're trying to say," Ray replied in an exasperated tone breaking the short silence that pervaded the air, after he heard the man in front of him just speak of killing all the top leaders of the city or even the continent.

"If you want to die then please do it somewhere else and don't try to drag me along," Ray thought in his head, confident that there was no one alive with the power to take out all the leaders except the leaders themselves even if they wanted to.

"Don't you want the power to kill the person who killed your mother?"

"DONT TALK ABOUT MY MOTHER" Ray yelled, instantly reacting. The pain of her death still too raw and painful for him to accept.

"Then let's talk about Horati then," Mr. Black said, knowing enough to know how much Ray despised him and wanted nothing more but to see him dead.

"No," Ray replied, not trusting the man in front of him at all, while thinking that he could still be an enemy masquerading as a friend.

"Let's talk about the so-called power you intend to give me,"
