Chapter Two: Sleepy State

I woke up from my phone alarm I set on my side table and turned it off immediately, my head hurt from the fall yesterday. I rubbed my eyes sitting up and swinging my feet over my blankets letting them touch my cold floor.

"Alright, what to eat for breakfast?" I mumbled opening my curtains then going to my kitchen, my fridge isn't really that stocked considering I just moved into this apartment so I just decided to go with the simplest thing and make a bowl of cereal, I poured the delicious colored flakes into the bowl with milk after, setting my bowl on the table instead of the counter. I went over to the cabinet where I keep my silverware and got out a spoon, I sat back down to start eating but before I could take my first bite I heard a knock at the door.

I answered only to be met with a beautiful young energetic looking woman, "hello! My name is Lea, I saw you were moving in and just wanted to know if you needed any help?" I chuckled and opened the door further, "come on in darlin, oh by the way I'm Hiraeth" my southern accent coming through a bit.

"You have such a pretty accent!" She complimented and proceeded to come in and sit down, "what lovely decor also! Are you a designer?" Lea questioned happily

"Uh- no actually, I'm in college. But thank you" I smiled, "oh okay! What are you studying?" She said getting up and starting to look at the rooms in my apartment.

"I'm studying nursing, the paperwork is going through and I will start going to this university next week." I said already having immense trust in the carefree girl in front of me, "how about you Lea? Are you doing anything?" I said smiling genuinely wanting to get to know the girl in front of me.

"No actually," she said looking slightly sad, "I'm just a bartender."

"No your not just a bartender! You're really sweet Lee." I said coming over to her and hugging her, "you're really sweet to rye" I smiled and laughed at the stupid nicknames we have already given each other I can already tell I'm gonna love this girl.
