Spider Cave Part-1

The Next Day, as Chase woke up, he felt something heavy on his chest, like a weighty burden carrying its weight into his soul. Opening his eyes, he saw Luna, now larger than before, staring back at him with eyes that seemed to hold a depth of understanding beyond mere words.

Chase smiled, a glimmer of joy dancing in his eyes like rays of sunlight breaking through the clouds after a storm. "Luna, you grew bigger than before," he said, marveling at her transformation.

Luna nodded, a gesture that spoke volumes, as if to say, "Yes, I am changing, just as we all do on this journey called life." She gracefully stepped off Chase's chest.

Chase thought, "Your mom did say she was no ordinary goose, and you also shouldn't be," while getting up.

"I have to go on a quest. Where should I put you? Maybe the system inventory can work," Chase pondered while looking at Luna.

He opened the system and found a new function called "Pet Pen." Though Luna wasn't his pet, Chase hoped it could still be of use. The description revealed various amazing features:

Whispering Willow Trees: Calming aura for the pets.

The Fountain of Youth: Healing properties for rejuvenation and vitality.

Glowing Pathways: Luminous trails for safe wandering at night.

The Canopy of Dreams: Protection from inclement weather and a comfortable climate.

Chatterbox Stones: Magical stones to understand pets' emotions and desires.

Nesting Nooks: Personalized burrows and nests for relaxation.

"Wow, that's a lot of uses, and there are more!" Chase was amazed by the pet pen function.

"Hope you have a good time in there," Chase said softly, his words like a tender lullaby as he gently placed Luna into the embrace of the pet pen, her form now embraced by the enchanting sanctuary.

After Chase took a shower then went to the enchanter guild to join the group for the spider quest, Chase arrived at the meeting spot in front of the guild, where the group of adventurers was waiting. As he approached, their eyes fell upon his lone arm, and a hushed murmur spread through their group. Chase couldn't help but notice the skepticism and disbelief on their faces.

Chase stood before the group of adventurers, and the leader, a hulking swordsman with an imposing presence, didn't hide his disapproval of Chase's missing arm. The girl with a warm smile and a gentle demeanor seemed understanding but uncertain about having him in the team. The archer, a sharp-eyed man, arched an eyebrow with skepticism, while the fire mage, a fiery-tempered man, scowled, not bothering to hide his disdain.

"Hey, man, wait up!" the swordsman called out, trying to sound welcoming but expressing concern.

Chase turned to face them, his eyebrow slightly raised. "What?" he asked calmly, sensing their judgment.

"Thanks for showing up, but, uh... are you sure you can handle this quest?" another adventurer chimed, trying to sound polite.

"But this is a dangerous quest," the archer interjected, her eyes narrowing skeptically. "We can't afford to have any weaknesses." not even bothering to sugarcoat their doubts.

"But this is a dangerous quest," the archer interjected skeptically. "We can't afford to have any weaknesses," not bothering to hide their doubts.

Chase took a deep breath, slowly getting used to this situation. "Don't worry about me. I've completed plenty of quests with just one arm," he responded, keeping his composure.

The group exchanged doubtful glances, clearly unconvinced. "But a D-rank quest like this could be tough. We can't risk carrying anyone," the group leader stated firmly.

The group leader hesitated, clearly weighing their options. "Look, it's nothing personal, but we need a full team to take on the spiders in the cave. One arm might be a serious liability."

The swordsman from yesterday, who had initially been skeptical but willing to give Chase a chance, now hesitated as he saw the leader's reaction.

Chase's jaw tightened slightly, but he kept his voice steady. "I understand your concern, but I assure you, I can handle myself just fine."

The group leader hesitated, clearly weighing their options. "Look, it's nothing personal, but we need a full team to take on the spiders in the cave. One arm might be a serious liability."

Chase felt a mix of frustration and disappointment. He had faced prejudice before due to his disability.

"I've faced far worse than spiders with just one arm," Chase retorted, his voice firm like a blade forged in the heat of determination. "If you still think I'm a liability, I'll prove you wrong. Give me a chance."

The group exchanged glances again, their alignment uncertain, like the dance of stars on an endless canvas.

Some still remained unconvinced, while others seemed to be reconsidering, like comets changing their trajectories.

Finally, the group leader sighed, like the exhalation of a mighty mountain, acknowledging the weight of their decision. "Fine. But if you slow us down or put us in danger, you're out. Understood?"

Chase nodded, grateful for the opportunity, even if it came with strings attached. "Understood."

With that, the group begrudgingly allowed Chase to join, and they set off towards the cave, As they entered the dark cave, he steeled himself for the challenges ahead.

The flickering light of torches casts eerie shadows on the cave walls. Chase and the group, led by the enigmatic and tall swordsman, advances cautiously through the labyrinthine tunnels.

"Stay alert, everyone. This place is crawling with those foul spiders." The mage whispers.

Chase started hearing crawling but seeing as the other didn't hear he gripped his spear tightly, ready to strike at any moment. His eyes, like those of a predator, scan the darkness for signs of movement. The air is thick with tension.

Suddenly, the silence was broken by the ominous sound of skittering legs and chittering mandibles, like the eerie melody of a haunting symphony. Spiders of various sizes emerged from the shadows, descending from the ceiling and crawling out from crevices in the cave walls, like an army of shadows rising from the depths of the underworld.

"There they are! Everyone, get ready," the large swordsman leader proclaimed, his voice like a rallying cry, urging his comrades to prepare for the impending battle.

He wielded his gleaming blade, as he got ready to attack with unwavering determination, like a warrior confronting his destiny head-on.
