Now, Jessica, Jaden, Zuri, and the rest arrived in Transmere and as he passed the feasting area, they noticed it encompassed with smoke. There were vampires on guard around the place and some other human slaves were clearing out the inside with their noses covered with pieces of cloth.
"What could have happened here?" Jessica asked as she held unto Jaden.
Jaden shrugged and took his eyes off the place. Somehow, he had an idea of what could have taken place, but one thing was sure – whatever had happened must have been ugly.

Jaden and Jessica proceeded to the palace and even though Jaden was still getting his strength back, he needed a whole meal that would satisfy the hunger he was feeling. The small games that Zuri had been bringing had only quenched his thirst a little but now, upon entering the palace, his stomach growled loudly.
