Jaden was bewildered. What took place? How did this happen? He questioned. He could hardly have mistaken the energy he sensed. That was obviously the distinctive energy signature of his father. The vampire king had a certain allure. When he was somewhere, his aura and energy spread over the area, alerting people to his presence and prompting them to act appropriately in a less subtle manner.
But did his father just wake up on his own? Jaden was aware that the nobles were still trying to figure out how to get the king treatment from his confusing slumber and now he was awake? Jaden could make no sense of it and that was why he hurriedly put one foot in front of the other, heading straight for his father's chambers. He needed to confirm for himself.
