"Yes." Everly nodded her head with a cynical look on her face. "Even I did then, but it flew out the window like a bird, since you were really cold to me." She reminded him, and Valerio averted his gaze from her.

"Sorry…" He apologized in a low tone, and Everly burst into laughter.

"I am pretty sure it would have been the same for anyone." She cupped his cheek in her hands and slowly kissed him.

Valerio responded to her kiss, and his gaze couldn't help but fall on her neck.

"It has appeared." He abruptly exclaimed and confused, Everly drew her head back to look at him.

"What has appeared?" She asked.

"The mating mark." Valerio replied with a smile on his face and pushed her hair out of the way. "Right her." He touched the side of her neck. "Remember last night when I bit you?" He inquired, and Everly nodded her head at him.

"Yes, I do. Now…that I think about it, it kind of stings." She hissed and touched that part of her neck.
