That’s Impossible!

"Miss Everly Eloise." A nurse walked out of the office, and on hearing her name, Everly slowly raised her hand.

"Please come with me." The lady nurse gently smiled at her, and she stood up from the chair with the document in hand.

She walked into the office, and the nurse gestured for her to take a seat on the chair.

"You're Everly Eloise?" The male doctor with short dark hair and brown eyes asked, and Everly nodded at him.

"Yes," She replied.

"I see…"

"So what's the problem?" The doctor inquired.

"Well, I have been feeling really weird for a week now. The edge of my nails and my gum itches a lot. I feel very dizzy occasionally, and I tend to have a hard time sleeping as well."

She explained, and the doctor slowly nodded his head.

"Well, come with me."

He said to her, and Everly followed behind him as he made his way out of the office.

They proceeded towards another room where she would be taking her test, and he had her climb onto the bed.

Her heart abruptly began to beat furiously, and memories, which she didn't want to ever recall, began to flash in her mind.

A ten-year-old girl is being wheeled into an operating room.

She couldn't understand anything then, but what they were doing to her was painful.

The two women she cried to for help stood smiling wickedly as they gazed at her with dangerous glints in their eyes.

She called for both of her parents, but neither of them came to her rescue.

The pain, her cry, and her struggles all flashed vividly in her mind, and she gasped to catch her breath.

She quickly sat up on the bed and breathed heavily, causing the doctor to turn around and look at her.

"Is everything... okay with you?" He inquired.

"Yes…I am fine." Everly nodded at him

Her eyes flickered vigorously, and she took deep breaths to soothe herself down.

"Please lie down." The doctor spoke, as he approached her.

Everly laid back on the bed.

The doctor did the test, which took a few long minutes on her, and once he was done, he had her follow him back to the office.

She sat down on the chair, and the doctor raised his head to look at her.

"I did not see anything wrong with you. You are perfectly fine and healthy." He said.

Everly's brows immediately furrowed in disbelief.

"That's impossible." She shook her head at him.

"How do you explain the uncontrollable itch, the dizziness, and all that?" She inquired, and the doctor pinched his brows.

"The test shows that your teeth are in good condition, just as your body is. Maybe it's just something natural. We do occasionally experience itch on our gums as a result of eating too many sweet things, so don't be concerned."

"That's impossible. Something is definitely wrong. It's constant. It's been consecutive for a whole week now."

She disagreed, and the doctor sighed in weariness.

"Well, as I said, I didn't see anything wrong. You are perfectly fine. however, the only strange thing I noticed is that your heartbeat is much faster than normal. It's beating rapidly like you just ran a thousand miles."

He explained and folded his arms.

"Do you feel out of breath?" He asked.

"No. I mean, I didn't run." She responded, and a confused expression emerged on the doctor's face.

"Then why is your heartbeat so rapid?" He inquired, and Everly, who has no clue, darted her eyes around.

"I do not know. That is why I am here." She shook her head.

"Well, return next week for your test results, so you can see for yourself." He smiled at her, and Everly nodded as she collected an appointment document from him.

She walked out of the office and proceeded to leave the hospital.

She pushed the glass door open and walked down the stairs.

A deep breath fled her nose, and she quickly flagged down a cab to return back to the mansion.

Logan arrived at his house with his father.

The driver drove into the compound and parked in the parking lot.

He stepped down and pulled the door open for them.

Lucius and Logan got out of the car, and together they made their way into the house.

They proceeded towards the basement and shut the door behind them once they stepped in.

They walked down the stairs, and Logan ordered Theo and Leo to bring Leia out.

They pulled her out of the small room built within the basement, and the instant Lucius's eyes fell on Leia's body, a glint of disbelief flickered in his eyes.

"What did you do to her?" He questioned and Logan frantically flashed his eyes around.

"You tortured her with silver, didn't you?" He pried, and Logan slowly nodded his head.

"I apologize, fath-"

"Do you know how long these burns will take to heal? She looks like toasted bread!" He rubbed his temple, now confused about what to do.

Leia, who was conscious but very weak, gradually raised her head to look at them.

"Let me guess...my brother is unto you guys. Ahahaha." She laughed weakly, and Lucius lowered his head to stare at her.

Disdain flickered in his eyes, and seeing the haughty smile on her face, disgust filled him.

"We will see about that." He retaliated with a deadly tone and squatted down to her level.

"Give me the drug." He gave the order, and Leo opened the metal box that had come with them.
