"Lydia..."

He squinted his eyes as he moved closer. He was several meters from Ava and Lydia's hiding when he halted. "My Lord, we must continue our journey, we received an urgent message that we must be at the Empire before dawn." the man who gave him the pendent reported.

The man nodded in response, but his head didn't turn to look at the person reporting, his gaze were still fixed on the director of Ava as he nodded again before turning to leave.

Ava heaved a sigh of relief. A breath she didn't realise she had been holding. She was already fuzzy from the whole panicking so she steped back to regain her composture, but a cracking sound was heard and everywhere became silent. The man whose back was facing her turned to her direction again.

She froze instantly, and her eyes widened in fear.

She made the noise! She's dead!

She looked at Lydia for help, but Lydia had the same expression as her.

The man slowly approached the direction where the sound came from.

Ava's face was painted with fear.

She was debating if to run or not, but that would only endanger Lydia.

The man was getting closer, her heart was drumming so loud that she could hear it, and she silently hoped that no one else could hear how loud her heart is beating.. She turned to Lydia again, and Lydia whispered to her. "I will count to three, and we would turn and run.." Ava nodded like a rattle.

1....2....3!

Lydia demonstrated with her fingers and when she was on the count of three, they both started running.

Immediately the three men who accompanied the ma. chased after them.

"let split up." Lydia said as they ran. "No! there is no way I will find you." Ava disagreed.. "Don't worry about me, they won't dare to harm me.." Lydia replied. "but.."

"No buts, it final. I'll take the right turn, take care alright.." Lydia said and without waiting for Ava's reply she took the right turn while Ava kept running straight.

Ava She looked back to see just one person running after her riding on a horse. He was so close to her, and she wondered why he hasn't tried using magic to stop her, but she kept running. At least it just one person.

She can't keep running straight else he would definitely catch her. she's lucky he hasn't caught up with her although she's running with her foot and he's riding a horse, but she is gifted with a fast leg. She runs fast, and she is the only one in her family with such gift. She looked sideways and immediately turned her direction. She made sure to run as fast as she could even if she was really tired and felt like stopping. and then she realised something 'Strange' she thought, then looked back only to realize that she wasn't chased again. when she was sure nobody was coming or hiding she poured her self on the ground panting real hard. But suddenly she sat up like she remembered something.

Lydia!!

Is that why they stopped chasing after her? Did they caught her?? panic flodded her whole body and she stood up immediately. Making her way back to find Lydia, not caring if she was caught. At first she walked, but later on she Increased her pace, fearing that she might be too late by the time she Find Lydia. Just like how late she was when Marta was killed.

No! She won't lose Lydia this time around. her eyes burned with determination as she began running.

Not long after, She saw a crack of lightening appeared in the sky. "No, please not now." She pleaded and she tried running faster, but her legs gave in and she fell down. "Arrh.." She winced in pain. Her kneels were bleeding, but that didn't stop her. She wiped the blood with her palm and continued running.

She felt water droplet touched her hair, and then it increased.

it is raining Heavily..

She kept running, ignoring the strong wind that blew and the roaring thunders. Her legs gave in and She fell again, but this time around she didn't wince or paused, She stood up immediately. She kept running that she didn't realize there was a slope ahead, so she fell down the slope. "Arrrrhhh!!" She screamed as she rolled, and rolled till She bumped her head into a hard rigid tree. She was drenched, some part of her clothes were already torn, and her body was covered in mud and blood. 'My head hurts..' She thought, and slowly lifted her hands to touch her head, and when she felt a liquid dripping from her forehead to her eyes, she then realised it was her blood..

Am bleeding!

She tried getting up, but she was really weak and the rain and the strong wind wasn't helping.

thus she fell back and the dirty water on the floor splashed on her. She was getting weaker and weaker, and her head was spinning. She tried he up again but she fell back.

"Lydia..." She uttered and hot liquid rolled fr her eyes to the tip of her ear, giving She was lying down.

And in the next second everything became blank.
