Project : Gwen, Get!(Third Piece)

"You want to assist me with my Research and Experiment?" Edward questioned Gwen. He put on a troubled look, and hesitating front as if pondering if it's even wise to let a girl into his private matter.

Internally however, Edward couldn't help but celebrating. As he thought. Gwen's eager to learn and prove herself as a competent future scientist. Plus, even though he told her about his success in creating a prototype Super Serum, he didn't let any more informations out. Much less the place and what has been going on in his lab.

His course of actions made him be seen as a mysterious young genius by Gwen. He can't just accept Gwen's plea without testing her first. A standard procedure that Gwen knew is coming. She had confidence in herself to pass any test thrown her way by Edward.

(Gwen's POV)

The evil genius Günnborg that us four has been chasing after proved to be hard to deal with. Even though we have Tony Stark, and Adam Holmes in our team, we still couldn't track and catch him. He would always have a backup for a backup. The strength and power of his Android army is growing stronger after each encounter.

If things continue going down like this, it's just a matter of time before we fell powerless to apprehend Günnborg. Who knows what will happen then. Up until this point, catching Günnborg is a fruitless endeavor.

Aside from that stressing matter, I've been trying to join hands with Edward in his private Research and Experiment. He showed some hesitation to let me join him but that's understandable. I'm sure he'll test me to judge if I can even assist him. I'm confident that I'll pass his test.

Aside from his brilliance, Edward isn't too stuck up with his research that he's socially awkward. He's easy to talk to, have a good sense of humor to him, and he seems to always know what to say in every situation. And he's quite handsome too. Did I mention his 'bad boy' aura? And that too.

I can't help but put my crush Peter at Edward's side and compare them. I like Peter because he's smart, and very gentle. The total opposite of my overprotective dad. However, that makes him a target for bullies to pick on him and he puts up with it. He's a handsome softie. But at this point, I can't help but got irked because he never fight back.

  Edward on the other hand, has everything Peter has and even more. He gives off a mature and manly aura, and he got girls, either younger or older, trying to get into his pants. I admit he's the dream of many girls. If he chose to, he can get any girl he wanted. But, it looks like he already got a crush. Which is me. No, ehem, it's Spider girl. Which is me.

That said, he doesn't even see me as a girl anymore but as someone who share same interest with him. I don't know why but he's annoying me.

"Man~ I bet she already has a boyfriend. That Spider girl." No I don't have a boyfriend! Yet...

I wish I can say that to him, but he would probably think I'm joking. Talking about joke, Edward seems particularly fond with it and he likes to crack one once in a while. And his joke is funny.

Before I realize it, I'm starting to visit him more and more frequently. It all starts that day when we had a discussion about his proto serum formula.

The more he ignore me as a person of opposite gender, the more it makes me hate and blame Spider girl persona. Even though she's literally myself. It makes me want to stop being a Spider girl, but Edward often talk about and praise Spider girl.

If Spider girl suddenly became inactive, Edward might express his dislike toward her. Since Edward mainly love Spider girl for being a crime fighter with perseverance. He might think Spider girl as no more than attention seeking woman.

I'm getting addicted to Edward. I can feel it. It has only been close to half a year since we met for the first time. But here I am thinking about how to eliminate Spider girl. But how can I do that when I am Spider girl myself?

In just half a year, Edward manage to squeeze his place higher, and firmly into my heart. As for Peter? He's just a friend to me at this point and I believe that liking him before, is just me getting confused.

Not long ago, Edward agreed to let me into his lab and assist him in some experiments regarding the Super Serum. Though I have some curiosity regarding the source of the ingredients and materials, I don't suspect him to steal them and thought to myself, he probably used his hard earned money to fuel his research.
